Our 2 bedroom apartment is cute, cozy and close to NYC. Guests enjoy spacious private bedroom and full, private bathroom. New construction, appliances, and access to our private roof deck with views of the Empire State Building and the Freedom Tower.
This private bedroom has a Queen sized bed and a full private bathroom. We have a mini-fridge and coffee maker ensuite; fresh sheets, towels and toiletries for you to use throughout your stay. The bedroom comfortably fits two, but we have a full-size pull-out couch in the living room which we can rent at a negotiable price, if you have up to 4 people in your party.
As a guest, you will have access to the kitchen, dining room, living room, and, of course, our private roof deck with views of both the Empire State Building and the Freedom Tower. We can't grant access to the garage, as it is shared, but everything else is a go!
Interaction with Guests
We are happy to interact as much or as little as you desire. We've lived in and around NYC for a combined total of 15 years so would love to share our recommendations with you if you're interested. We also value your privacy and understand if you want to keep the interactions to a minimum. NOTE: We will be in the apartment unless otherwise stated.
Our neighborhood is generally quiet and centrally located to make it to NYC quickly and easily. Hoboken is also a short walk away and is great for going out to dinner, drinks or dancing if you don't want to deal with getting into NYC.
In the Heights, are a few local bakeries, delis and bars, but otherwise it is great for getting away from it all.
Lots of options for transit-- several buses go straight into the City making your commute fast! Also within walking distance of the light rail.
There is usually easy parking on the street.
All of the NYC airports (LGA, JFK and EWR) can be accessed easily by public transportation.
Other Things to Note
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns and we will happily address them!
Please help us keep the common spaces clean. Since this is our primary residence, we will also be using the living room, kitchen and dining room. We expect guests to take care of their dishes and keep their clutter in the bedroom. We also appreciate energy conservation, so we expect the lights to be off in empty rooms.
Due to allergies, we cannot allow pets. Smoking is prohibited (except on the roof).
They made us feel extremely welcomed. We would gladly recommend them again!
I had a great time at Brianna's house. Their house was super tidy and it was exactly same as the pictures. The bed and bathroom was very clean. Brianna and Nick were great host. I asked for another blanket and they immediately provided me with a clean blanket. We did not get a chance to talk to each other a lot as they left for Holidays the day after my stay.
I did not use the kitchen except for breakfast, but it was fully equipped. There were lots of drinks, coffee, coffee maker, and milk in the mini fridge inside the room, which was very convenient. I used their washing machine and dryer couple of times and it was so convenient specially when you are at long holidays.
The neighborhood was safe and had lots of shops. If you take the bus, it was just about 25-30 minutes far from Manhattan and Time Square which was really cool. The bus worked until 1 am with bout $4.25 fare. There was a small heater inside the room which was so useful and I had a good sleep at night.
I was so happy with my stay at this place and I highly recommend everybody to stay here!
Thank you very much Brianna and Nick for your hosting.
We had a fantastic time staying at Brianna's place. They were great hosts and our stay was great.
She went out of her way to make the stay special for us, it was my daughters birthday and she had decorated the room before we arrived and there were messages for her Birthday placed in the living room area, our room. I must say we were wow'ed with the hospitality.
The room and the place was exactly as it was described, immaculately maintained and very good. We were three of us and were comfortable staying in the accommodation.
We were able to park our car on the street right in front of the house, this is a big plus as parking in New York area can be quite challenging.
The commute to NY was smooth we took a taxi one day and used the bus. It was super convenient and not time consuming.
Overall I would say this is the type of place you would want every time you visit a place outside your home!
Bree & Nick are a great host and friendly people. they helped us a lot .
We had a great stay with them. Her house is located in a calm residential area The people in their neighborhood are friendly.
Grocery shopping is conveniently located near to home. The bus stop is also near and takes about 30 min to new york city.
the house is same as photos, also the room was clean.
we were satisfy from our staying with them,
i suggest you to stay in their home.
Brianna and Nick were very thoughtful and considerate hosts. The room was very clean, neat and well-prepared with our own mini-fridge stocked with beverages, coffee-maker and granola bars, clean towels and toiletries in the bathroom. There was also a personalized welcome in the binder with information on getting to and from the house and good recommendations for restaurants etc in the area. There was everything we needed, including washer and dryer. We regret not having the time to go up to the roof patio.
Brianna and Nick were really nice, friendly, and helpful to us on our stay. They recommended places to us, gave us rides to Trader Joe's with them on a few weekends, and cooked us breakfast a few times as well! Their place is really lovely, and it was great to have shared spaces such as the kitchen to use, as well as the roof deck and the living room. It was very cozy and clean.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 and a half months while interning in NYC. Compared to other commutes we heard about, ours was not bad at all. Still, the 20 minutes that the listing said was a bit off for us. That would be accurate if you took the bus to Midtown, I think, but where we worked just north of Tribeca, we needed to take a bus to the PATH station then take the PATH across, so it took 45-60 minutes each way.
As far as amenities go, it was really nice to have fast internet (we are computer science majors and do a lot of computer work for classes, internship, etc.) Much faster than we have in Georgia. The washer and dryer were also very helpful so we didn't even have to go to a laundromat. Breakfast was provided; they had a few different cereals laid out on the counter and coffee/tea, which was really thoughtful!
The only issues that ever came up were pretty minor, but some are worth mentioning. We were instructed not to bother rinsing the dishes, but the dishwasher did not quite handle that, so we made sure to pre-wash ours. Also, the AC would be turned off sometimes on very hot days due to the hosts' concerns about energy conservation (and it was difficult to convince to be turned back on). Nothing that should be a concern for short-term stays. Overall, it was a great place to stay and a much better price than trying to rent an apartment and pay all the fees, etc.
Thanks again for staying with us. For those interested, we keep our house at 76 degrees in the summer with our Central A/C. I do recall once being asked to turn on the AC when it was 69 degrees outside and after only very brief hesitation it was turned on; we didn't realize it was an issue until this post. We really do want to accommodate each guest's needs- so don't hesitate to ask! (They have a point about the dishwasher, too-- if you make heavy foods, your plates may need a rinse!)
Contacting Brianna was great, and although I am at another continent with about 6 hours of time difference, she immediately replied on my emails and explained everything very clear and efficient. The apartment looks really as nice as on the pictures and the hospitality of Brianna and het husband was great.

My husband Nick and I have owned our condo in Jersey CIty Heights for about two years and just acquired a second place. We've been on airbnb about a year and we love it! It's great meeting new people and we look forward to welcoming you into our home. We love to watch Netflix (currently watching White Collar), listen to Pandora (typically a Cake kind of vibe), play board games (Settlers of Catan, anyone?) and have a glass of wine or a Manhattan on our roof deck during sunny weather. We have lots of recommendations within walking distance and in NYC, and would love to share them with you.
We try to travel as much as we can both within the US and abroad. We both love the typical European vacation, but have recently found a soft spot for relaxation in the sun.
