Other Things to Note
The queen size bed sleeps 2. If you have more than 2 people feel free to bust out the twin rollaway bed in the closet. The apartment can accommodate 3 people. We prefer that no one sleeps on the sofa.
Most important house rule - Be respectful of our neighbors. There is no stereo in the house on purpose. No pets. Feel free to smoke on the patio. No smoking inside! Call us if you need anything!
This was our second visit to the condo and this time it was an extended stay. The condo was just as comfortable for a long visit as it was for a weekend. Our host,Matt, was very accommodating with the fridge stocked with drinks and snacks. The condo was well stocked with necessities and a vacuum cleaner. It was very clean and parking was always available. The family provided clean sheets and towels weekly. The location was ideal for us because our children live close by and it was also easy access to S35 to visit our San Antonio relatives. We love South Austin. We ate at many of the hot spots nearby, including Uchi, Gordough's pub, Torchy's, and Elizabeth Street Cafe. Downtown was a few minutes away. We also enjoyed the music scene and caught acts at Saxon Pub, Continental, and Strange Brew. All in all a great time and we plan to be back again.
Matt was a wonderful host and made my first trip to Texas so enjoyable! The place was the perfect location to get around. 5 minute or less ride to South congress and the weather was nice so we were able to walk too!
I would absolutely book with Matt again!
The snacks and beverages were an extra spoiled touch! Thank you!
Cute and affordable. Matt's place was clean and well stocked. The upstairs neighbors were a bit noisy but overall - great place and would totally stay there again.
Had a great stay. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well situated. Large closet to hide suitcases, nice clean bathroom and a comfortable bed which is most important. Great food near by, walking distance to most. The bus stop is across the street and only a $1 to get into downtown. I don't remember the last time I paid a $1 for anything. Matt had no influence over the price of the bus, but this made the apartment and it's location even better. Next time we visit Austin, we'd love to stay here again.
Complete and accurate instructions were given to access the property. The property was just as described. I thought it would be closer to the downtown area, but that was probably just a misconception on my part. It turns out it was just about as close as it could be without being in the middle of the downtown area. Driving downtown was not a problem once we got to know the area a little. The condo was very clean and bed was comfortable. Not only were snacks and drinks provided, but coffee/sugar/creamer, as well as any other incidentals you would need in a kitchen. A porch with chairs was nice to be able to sit outside. Washer/dryer facilities were available within just a few yards. Gated community. Took a few tries to figure out how the gate worked. Heavily traveled road in front of complex as well as a lot of road construction throughout the city. Loved Austin and would definitely go back to this Charming Little Condo.
The location is prime for easy access to South Congress and downtown. Matt is a gracious host, leaving goodies in the fridge for us. The condo was very clean and tidy and the gated parking was a real plus. We recommend Matt & his place to anyone going to Austin!
Matt's charming little condo was precisely that. It was a peaceful refuge from the exciting hustle bustle of Austin's hot spots. It was impeccably clean, soothingly decorated with carefully chosen colors. artwork and appointments, and stocked with foodstuffs, beverages, kitchen supplies and toiletries that left you wanting for nothing. Matt (and his mother) were amazingly responsive to every text - including early morning ones left because I'd forgotten I'd entered an earlier time zone. Despite the fact that every moment of my trip was engaged in Austin day and night life (via my son and his band, Kiddoo and the Dude), I anticipated with joy and serenity the return to my cozy little nest of Matt's condo. As other reviewers have stated, the bed was uber comfy; the shower had more water power than any I've ever encountered; and the outdoor patio overlooking the circular pool was a welcoming retreat. Even the gigantic walk in closet in master bedroom was a pleasure. Highly recommended!
Hello there. I'm Matt. I've lived in Austin for 2.5 years now, and love it. I moved here to be closer to my family. The condo is actually my parents place, and I am helping them out with the Airbnb part. My folks are your average salt of the earth type retired grandparents. They bought this bitchin' condo close to downtown so they would not have to drive home to Cedar Park after a night of hard core partying on 6th Street. Totally kidding. They are conservative and lovely. I hope you like our place!
