The absolute best thing about our neighbourhood is that it is so near town yet so safe and quiet.Brilliant people live in our street and we have to respect them.
Most places are in walking distance but there is a bus stop two minutes away .Most tour buses will arrange a pick up near home and taxis are readily available.
Caroline's home in Galway is fantastic. She is a fantastic host, providing breakfast, directions, recommendations, and warm conversation. The room was perfect with fantastic linens, and was a 15 minute walk from anywhere in town. She really was a key part of making Galway a memorable experience.
I had a wonderful stay in Caroline's lovely home. Caroline is an incredible host, so welcoming and accommodating. (I'm a vegan and I got served a very delicious breakfast of muesli, fruit salad and a selection of teas. I hadn't room for the additional salad!)If you are staying in Galway this is the place to stay. As an added bonus the location couldn't be better, in a quiet residentail area but with all the fun of Galway just 10mins walk away.
Thank you Caroline.
Both Caroline and Mick were very kind from the start.
I was welcomed with a nice cup of tea and some cookies. The room was warm, spacious and comfortable with a great bed.
Each day I had a delicous breakfast with many things to choose from and a bottle of water each day in my room.
They are really respectfull and care a lot for their guests.y
The area is very well located at 5-10 mins short walk from the city center and in a calmed and nice residential area where you can easily buy food or go to restaurants etc
Caroline is the perfect host! She made me feel immediately welcome, and had great suggestions for food and entertainment.
It felt like staying with a family friend; she even leant me a raincoat when mine soaked through!
The house is lovely, with clean rooms, and in a quiet neighborhood. I needed to spend time on the university campus, and was only a short walk away. The location is also convenient to the city centre.
Thank you so much for inviting me into your home and sharing Galway with me!
We had a nice and comfortable stay at the house of Caroline & her husband. When we arrived, Caroline already waited for us with a tea and while we drank it and enjoyed the self-made sconey, she gave us helpful information about Galway (map, events). The rooms were clear, warm and cosy and the breakfast we had on Sunday was the perfect start for a trip through the Connemara region.
It was much more than we had expected and we will come back, thank you for everything! For German guests: Toller Gastgeber, in jedem Fall weiter zu empfehlen!
What a great host. The room was great and just minutes away by walk from town. Caroline and Mick were such great hosts. Incredibly friendly and amazingly helpful. If you're going to Galway you should stay here. You'll thank yourself.
Caroline and Mick were great hosts. It was mostly Caroline who was looking after airBnb guests, and she did an amazing job of making me feel welcome. She already had tea and scones ready to serve when I first walked in the door! She had lots of brochures and recommendations on what to see and do in the area. A really nice breakfast was provided in the morning, and she made sure I had fresh towels and showering stuff every day.
The place was just as advertised from the pictures and I have absolutely no complaints about my room or the rest of the house.
Overall, it was easily the best airBnb place I've stayed at, and I've stayed at more places than this profile suggests (through vacations with my parents).
I would recommend this place to anyone and will stay here again the next time I'm in Galway.
