Lawrenceville is one of Pittsburgh's most happening neighborhoods, with restaurants, cafes, art galleries, & convenient access to everything. In the heart of Pittsburgh's "design zone", beside the Allegheny River, you get a sense of Pittsburgh's history and its future all at once.
Besides all that Lawrenceville has to offer, we're walking distance to Children's Hospital, Bloomfield, Friendship, & more. On several bus lines, 5 minutes to Greyhound/Amtrak & downtown, easy access to universities, Shadyside, or anywhere you need to go.

Smoking outside. No hourly restrictions – come & go as you please. And as much as we like doggies, we just haven't had much luck having them in the house. Cats and other critters negotiable.
Hal and Huong are really good hosts. They are friendly, helpful and attentive. They really let feel us like home. They have a beautiful, warm and clean house. We really felt comfortable in their house. They provided us some really good suggestions of restaurants and cafés.
The neighborhood is perfect. There are some restaurants, cafés and bars close to the house. It's a 15 minutes bus ride to downtown with differents possibilites of buses.
We really had a good experience leaving in Hal and Huong' house. We totally recommend to everybody who visits Pittsburgh! Thank you Hal and Huong!
After having to cancel with Hal due to weather, we were able to stay with him the next week. Hal and Huong were wonderful hosts, very welcoming and great to sit down and chat with. My boyfriend and I felt right at home, everything was exactly as described in the listing, parking was easy, and the neighborhood was great!
Because of a snowstorm, I had to cancel our reservation with Hal unfortunately. Fortunately, though, Hal was incredibly easy to communicate with and offered to let us rebook for the future. Looking forward to staying in this beautiful looking space soon!
I had a very good time staying at Hal's place. Parking was very convenient, and location was great for exploring Lawrenceville. Hal was very welcoming and explained everything I needed to know -- would definitely stay here again in the future.
Hal is a super-nice, super-friendly, super-chill host. Very helpful with local knowledge. The house is terrific; really big bedroom, comfortable bed, great bathroom. The rest of the house is very cool as well.
The Lawrenceville neighborhood is awesome; Pittsburgh's version of Brooklyn if you didn't already know that.
I would definitely stay with Hal again.
We had a great stay at Triple Duce in Lawrenceville. The description on the website was spot on. The room was comfortable, warm despite cold weather outside. On street parking was not a problem day or evening. Our hosts were terrific - friendly, helpful and generous. We really did feel like guests. The neighborhood is one of Pittsburgh's really cool addresses. We recommend this home highly.
Hal was exceptionally easy to communicate with, well-organized, friendly, welcoming and informative. The room and house were extremely comfortable, and equally great from an aesthetic perspective. Beautiful home. Great location; easy parking w/parking pass. I was at a workshop at CMU. It was a great location for that. In sum, everything about the experience was absolutely great. I don't have a single complaint (other than to note that the delicious smells of Houng's cooking were slightly painful to endure). The airbnb description sets up very high expectations. The actual experience surpassed them. Excellent people, excellent place. I'd stay there again in an instant. 5+ stars.
Hal is a Brooklyn-born Cuban-American who's lived throughout the US, Latin America, and Asia, and has been in Pittsburgh since 2005. Huong is a Hanoi-born Chatham University MBA graduate who's been in Pittsburgh since 2012.
