This place and surrounding area is all that it said it would be. In fact, I was quite surprised at the spaciousness especially the bathroom and privacy the place had to offer. This is a place with character and although I didn't get a chance to see Marva, she welcomed us with a lovely note filled with all sorts of information and was always there to address any needs. In fact, my wife and I were under the weather and she was able to secure us a humidifier to help soothe our symptoms. Would definitely request this place on a future trip. Thank you Marva for everything! You are your family are very gracious and giving.
The listing was very acurate. We were very well recived. They were attentive to our needs. Parking is a problem as there is a college nearby. Do not park within 25 feet of the cross streets as you will eventualy receive a ticket. The host did advised us when we arrived that they did not enforce the yellow painted curb regulation. On our last night there we received two $35 parking tickets. One was written at 1am and the second at 3am. We were there for one month and did not have to oportunity to meet Marva. We did neet Ed her husband and her daughter. We found this a little strange. Overall the suite was very clean and confortable but it was a little cold. When we arrived the room temperature was set at 68 deg. and we were advised not to change it. Later space heaters were provided and the temperature was raised to 70 deg. and that did make it more confortable when showering.
Richard- I did arrange to meet your daughter prior to your arrival to ensure this property would meet your standards before I left town for my own travel.
My husband are the owners of the property and thus you were hosted by the owner of the property to have your needs addressed as quickly as they were brought to our attention.
August traditionally is the hottest month of the year and 68 degrees is usual a comfortable temperature for the time of year.
There was a new parking lot installed during the time of your stay immediately across the street from the property. As you experienced 29 days with no issues with parking in front of the door of your entry EXCEPT for you last night's stay, I hate that you were written up on your checking out but was happy to host you for the month and thought I was handling your care to your satisfaction.
Marva has a beautiful home and it was a joy to be able to come back to a peaceful place after a long day. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a convenient retreat or getaway spot!
A sweet & lovely host! The suit is so comfortable and clean. Will be back in a few days and will book it again ( no hesitation )
The experience at Marva's place was really great. The apartment looks wonderful, it's very clean and cozy and it's not so far from New York.
Marva was also a really great host, if I had to come again I would love to stay to her place for a new experience
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
My stay has been absolutely great! It has everything you need and more. The space is very private and comfy to call home. I have only been here for half my stay and I am so glad that I chose here to stay. If you are looking for a home away from home with a very reliable host, this is the best place to stay. The location is in a safe and quiet area as well as having transportation close by. Thank you Mrs. Hanks for making my stay wonderful!
