Beautiful pine cabin in the woods of Tahoma. Main floor consists of living room with beautiful stone wood-burning fireplace, kitchen, bedroom (1 Queen), and full bathroom (shower only, no tub). Upstairs is a full-floor attic bedroom (4 Twin) with a half-bath. Non-sleeper sofa in living room or additional air mattress (not included) could potentially accommodate one or two additional guests for a total of seven or eight. Brand new (installed 11/15/11) gas furnace heats the place comfortably.
Just four blocks from the lake and a short drive to many North and West-Shore ski destinations (Homewood is about 1 mile away), this cabin is right where you want to be in any season; close to fun activities but removed enough to feel like you've escaped. The neighborhood market (PDQ) makes the best sandwiches on earth, has a great selection of DVD rentals perfect for snowy nights, and provides easy access to essentials if you find yourself in need.
A portion of your reservation fee will be donated to Friends of West Shore, a non-profit organization benefitting the preservation of Tahoe's West Shore communities, and to The League to Save Lake Tahoe, an organization that works with California and Nevada government agencies to protect the habitat of the Tahoe Basin.
Please note: second floor is accessed by an attic staircase, not handicap or pet accessible.
Pets are allowed with additional security deposit and cleaning fee; please contact me for details. Please note there is no fenced yard, and stairs to second floor bedroom are not pet-friendly.
Very positive experience. Cole was always quick to respond with questions. The house was lovely and in a quiet neighborhood. It has a cozy Tahoe feel. It's in a good location. We skied one day at Squaw and hiked at emerald bay the next day.
Cole was super responsive and everything all the communications from him were great! The cabin itself is not the most spacious or fancy place in the world, but for the price I think it's the perfect place to rest your head for a few days. One tip for future guests: Cole provides detailed instructions with details like the wifi password and how to turn on the water heater. Print them out and bring them with you!
Cole was very helpful and easy to get in touch with. The cabin was cozy and served our needs well. Didn't even use the second floor because we only had two people. Would definitely come back.
The cabin was as-described. It's quaint, but worked well as a place to crash after a long day of skiing. Cool coffee mugs.
The West Shore cabin was comfortable and a great weekend getaway.
Cole responded immediately to any questions we had. The amenities were adequate. Enjoy my stay.
This cabin manages to feel rustic and removed while still providing all of the amenities I wanted and not being too far out or difficult to find. Cole provided great, detailed instructions on how to get in and how everything works, and was very helpful about answering questions I had. It ended up raining during most of our stay, so I was happy to find several TVs with a DVD and a Blu-Ray player throughout the cabin. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with cooking utensils and a few condiments which was nice as we didn't have to go out to eat much and mainly cooked, although it is nice knowing there is a market nearby and the grocery store isn't too far. Despite the weather this cabin provided for a very cozy and comfortable weekend and I would be happy to return again.
Cute place. It's cozy, but plenty of room for four guys on a ski weekend. I guess my biggest complaint was that there wasn't any snow, but I guess Cole can't do anything about that...
Will definitely stay again.

I'm originally from Marin County, and I moved to San Francisco in 2005. I now divide my time between San Francisco and the beautiful West Shore of Lake Tahoe. I enjoy traveling (34 countries and counting), running, and eating too much Mexican food (if there is such an amount — a theory still being rigorously tested). I'm the oldest of 6 kids and my family is very important to me.
