The Parrot's Perch is an adorable one bedroom apartment on Historic 7th Street in Downtown Sarasota, Walk to Main Street, Farmer's Market. Completely remodeled apartment located in a large historic house with deck under giant oak tree.
The parrot's perch is a great little apartment that has been completely remodeled with a new kitchen featuring a breakfast bar with quartz countertops, farmer's sink and beadboard trim. A 32" tv with DVD player, queen size beautyrest bed, all new furniture and new bathroom make your stay very comfortable.
Guests will have access to a private deck, and the "outhouse" Laundromat, a funny little shack which we have salvaged and put coin operated machines into.
Interaction with Guests
Guests have instant access to the apartment via an electronic door lock set to the last four digits of their telephone number-no need to stress about arrival times. We live next door, and are available via cell phone. We will generally stop by to say hi, and introduce ourselves, but try to give our guests full privacy, unless we can help in any way. A large basket with maps and brochures is available in the apartment to help explore the area.
We love being able to walk into downtown Sarasota and walk along the bayfront to watch the sunset. The town is especially fun on Saturday mornings during the farmer's market.
You can walk to lots of restaurants, shops and grocery stores. There is a convenient bus system to get out to the beach as well. Plenty of parking is available on the street at no charge.
Sorry, no pets and no smoking allowed in the Parrot's Perch. Because this apartment has a common wall with another apartment, please try to be respectful of your neighbors.
Andrea and Mike were eager to make our first visit to Sarasota a memorable one. Parrots Perch was exactly as pictured and described.
Parrot's Perch was an absolute delight. My wife and I enjoyed a great stay with not one little itsy bits problem. Everything worked great and the Hosts, Andrea and Mike were a jewel in helping to learn about Sarasota and some good restaurants. We would not hesitate to stay at Parrot's Perch on any visit in or near Sarasota.. This was our first Airbnb experience and we are sold. Well done Andrea
We had a wonderful long weekend at Parrot's Perch. The location could not be better. Restaurants and city center within walking distance. The premises were very comfortable and well outfitted. Andrea met us on arrival and was more than accommodating and helpful to our requests and needs. Most definitely would stay at Parrot's Perch again. Thank you.
Our host and her husband Mike made us feel very welcome. The Parrot's Perch is exactly as described and provides everything one needs from bedding to towels, cutlery, plates mugs and glassware and more for a long or short term stay. You need only bring your clothes. Its position, in a quiet neighbourhood, within 5 minutes walking distance to historic downtown could not be bettered
I am not one for many words, but what I can say is Awesome. This place was great. There is not one thing I can think of that was not perfect. Great little apartment feel. I would definitely book with them again. I loved being able to walk everywhere, and the back porch was quiet in the evenings.
Charming, clean and spacious apartment. Very well located, 10 minutes walk to Main Street. Tried out the two closest bars that Andrea recommended, both very pleasant. Saw Andrea and Mike once, when they came round to introduce themselves. I would certainly recommend their place.

I am a graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. I have run my family's gold award winning Americas Best Value Inn in Bradenton Florida for 20 years. I am passionate about revitalizing Downtown Sarasota and the historic Gillespie Park Neighborhood where I have lived and worked for over 10 years. My husband and I live with our spoiled rotten Vizlsa named Lucy. We love to walk Lucy and ride our bikes into downtown and out to the beach.
