You've come to enjoy a taste of paradise right? This is the place you want to stay.
Nestled on the edge of the ricefield with an uninterrupted view across stalks of waving green grass, Harvest Moon has been designed with loving care and attention.
Enjoy the setting sun over the jungle and a glimpse of extinct volancoes from your balcony in the upstairs bedroom.
Or step straight from the downstairs bedroom in to the infinity pool, swim to the bale and eat breakfast on the huge day bed. At night the bale transforms into a cute little nest with a double bed and soft drapes at the foot of the ricefields.
To get to the bath you'll have to cross the fishpond which surrounds the tub before sinking in and relaxing. Or use the shower which is surrounded by lush jungle foliage in the second bathroom.
Each morning your friendly, unobtrusive staff will prepare you breakfast from the fully equipped kitchen.
After that you can sit, stretch, curl up, snooze, cuddle or rest amongst all the little corners and cushions throughout the house.
Harvest Moon comes with wifi, towels, a full kitchen, pool, 2 beds, 2 bathrooms and an outdoor bale with a third double bed. Donna Karen inspired handmade furniture, sumptuous lighting, quiet, friendly waitstaff and an onsite manager are also there to help you relax.
Nannys, recommendations for massage, yoga classes and other modalities, motorbikes, cars with drivers and tourist information is all available on request. If there's more you want then just ask!
We've also been featured in a design blog and a model shoot.
The silver boxes you'll see at Harvest Moon were featured in a model shoot done on location:
And Ashley Muir Bruhn who writes a travel and lifestyle blog called Hither and Thither stayed at Harvest Moon in early 2013 and was blown away. Here's the last of her Bali travelogue:
(it's very likely that Nyoman will pick you up from the airport. And Wayan will most certainly cook you breakfast)
The first rule is you must relax.
To help you we've created an unobstructed view from the deck (and the pool) across the rice paddies where you can see the sunset every evening.
We don't advise smoking inside because the roof is a traditional alung-alung roof made of thatch. Thatch and fire don't mix well with houses. So we've installed mosquito repellants which work from the powerpoints and also ask you to refrain from burning candles.
There are some other villas nearby all lovingly designed by the same architect. So we keep things quiet after 10pm and before 8am in the morning. You'll be so absorbed by the evening stars and the cool morning light you'll feel like it's the perfect way to be anyway.
And there are a few dogs which share the grounds with us. They have been adopted by the architect (who loves animals). They are well treated, fully vaccinated and definitely don't bite. As Bali dogs go they live like kings (and children love them).
Other than that my only request is that you treat my house like your own. It's a special place. I know you're going to love it :)
Staying at Russell's home was an unforgettable experience for me.
The house is a gorgeous and the services provided are remarkable.
I did not meet Russell in person, but Kate and his team made sure that we were all comfortable. I can't recommend staying here more, you must go should the opportunity arise!
My friends and I had an incredible time in harvest moon. The interior and surroundings are just amazing! So beautiful, so relaxed and tranquil. We loved every minute. The only negative was that we found it hard to leave !!!! Staff were so friendly and the organisation on the lead up to the visit could not be faulted. A truly perfect place. Couldn't recommend it enough!
Expérience inoubliable dans cette merveilleuse villa. Tout le personnel et le manager Nik nous ont chouchouté du début à la fin de notre séjour. Tout est prévu pour passer d'excellentes vacances en découvrant UBUD et ses environs. Pour le chauffeur demandez Ketut (the best of Driver). Petit déjeuner frais. Vrai havre de paix. Tout est parfait!

HI, I am Ulrike and I am an interior designer based in Melbourne, Australia. Since I was a child I have always liked to travel and absorbing different cultures, meeting new people, discovering new tastes. This is one of the many reasons why I spend 2-3 months per year in Ubud with my husband and 5 year old son.
