The Space

Hello! Let us start by saying this is our home which we have put a lot of love into. And for that reason it is eminently important that our home is respected and treated with care. We ask that you please have a complete profile before reaching out to us and details about why you are coming to Chicago and who is traveling with you. For those of you who are new to AirBnb (with no reviews) we would like references so please provide that, too. We must take precautions as our space has been disrespected in the past. This is not a place for parties or noise, gatherings or events. If you are interested in filming or having photoshoots these are special case situations and we will provide alternative pricing if the type of scenario works for the space.

We do our best to make the apartment as comfortable and clean as possible, but there are quarks as there are with any space that is lived in. It is important to understand that we are not a hotel.

Now with all that the good stuff:

This rental is for the whole 3000 sqft apartment which includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom is around 1000 sqft with a big bathroom with a separate bath tub & shower with two Delta shower heads. We also have a nice kitchen with a beautiful morning view of the city and as of February 2014 a brand new dishwasher!

It's a perfect location, minutes from downtown close to a bunch wonderful restaurants, cafes and grocery/liquor store.

Some other nice features of the space:

Big TV & Stereo next to a nice couch
Gas Fireplace
Wireless Internet
A bunch of nice plants.
Laundry in Unit
Really nice Rooftop Access
Urban Chic Spa Downstairs (with massages)

If you have any questions or would like more details, please don't hesitate to to ask. Looking forward to hear from you!

Check In
  • Sam and Linsey made my stay at their beautiful apartment such a wonderful experience. So helpful and sweet from the second I made the booking to the minute I checked out. And their pad is perfect in every way. Great layout, great views, fireplace, clean and well equipped. Definitely a place to return to.

  • From first contact, Sam could not have been any nicer or more professional and his place is extremely nice and incredibly comfortable. My wife and I would not hesitate to stay at their place again and highly recommend it to others. Thanks, Sam. You're the best.

  • Sam was a great host, he was in constant communication and was always there to help! Enjoy the neighborhood and the closeness to downtown, great public transportation as well. I would definitely comeback and recommend this unit :-)

  • This was our first time using AirBnB so we were unsure what to expect. We arrived an hour later than expected due to flight delays and were told to go down the back alley and look under a brick to pick up the keys. We had some problems with a sticky key but eventually figured it out how to get in. The place was relatively clean except for food in the fridge and garbage bins which we could smell (and didn't do anything with because they weren't ours to begin with). There was also a used soap bar that was left on the ensuite counter. There was no blowdryer to use so I had to go out and purchase one, along with toilet paper since the only rolls that were left were on the dispenser. I let Sam know but didn't feel comfortable looking through his cupboards. The beds were kind of thrown together and we were left towels that we were unsure if they were clean as they were stained and some had holes and ragged edges. Luckily we own a fitness studio in Chicago and were able to go and grab towels quickly. Its a bit of a noisy place to sleep but large so there's a lot of room if that's what you're looking for. Sam was quick to respond to our questions however. If you're planning on staying here, make sure you pack a towel and expected amenities or ask first what will be supplied so you are prepared. We also had no idea on how to access the roof top patio or where the laundry facilities were or how to use the TV or stereo as no instructions were left for us. There is also no place for you to hang your clothing or hangers. Also no iron or ironing board if you need one.
As mentioned, I never used AirBNB before and maybe I expected it to be more like a BandB, which this place was not. It was more like staying in a strangers home and not knowing what to use and what not to.

  • Great apartment. The space was really lovely and HUGE! Sam was sweet to leave us some yummy local treats and we totally enjoyed our stay. It slept three people super duper comfortably. The neighborhood was friendly. The chandeliers under the train track and the foam monster sculpture at the end of the block ended up making our weekend. Overall, a great experience.

  • We loved this place! It couldn't have been nicer. Very safe neighborhood, close to everything close by. Cute places to eat in the neighborhood. Clutch and Twisted Spoke were both great and in walking distances. Very flexible with key pick up.

  • Oh geez, where do I start... I booked this place for my sisters to stay at while they were visiting from New York... Above and beyond what I expected. I kinda felt like I won something. A fire burning in the fireplace, wine, flowers, fine a$$ coffee, hot pink post it instructions for each of the four remote controls, and more light switches than you can comprehend to be useful. All waiting for them as they walked in the door. Those sisters of mine were literally speechless. - Thanks guys!
