Featuring hardwood floors, granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom as well as new stainless steel appliances (gas stove). The apartment has a full kitchen. It is a basement apartment with lots of windows and light. FREE WIFI and street parking available.
Quiet, small building offers privacy. This area is very quaint with lots of character. My apartment is small but I've made great use of the space to make it feel more open. I do have a cat who will not be at the apartment during your stay, I also use a professional cleaning service.
Laundry in unit. This apartment is a 3 minute walk from the Takoma metro station (red line). This is great young family neighborhood. Very safe at night. Several cafes and restaurants within walking distance as well as a BP gas station, CVS and post office.

I will be away during your stay but can be reached by phone/txt or email
I love how friendly the neighborhood and people are. I like to be able to walk around to grab a bite or a drink, run errands and all of DC and surrounding area is easily reachable by the metro
3 minute walk to the Takoma metro station (red line)
Please smoke outside (there is a courtyard area behind the building) and clean up after yourself
Check in was very smooth. The apartment is super close to the local train which made our exploring the DC area so easy. The apartment was very comfortable and made for a great place to relax after a long day of visiting DC. Erika was super quick answering any questions or concerns that we had. Highly recommend this apartment. We enjoyed everything about our week in the DC area.
Erika's check-in process was very efficient; no need to worry about getting the exact time of when you're showing up locked down. She's also very quick to respond to questions.
The apartment was clean, and a good size. The bed is queen sized, with a memory foam mattress I think. While the Metro tracks are basically across the street, the trains going by are actually really quiet. The neighborhood is very nice and indeed very close to the Takoma Red Line station. A newer Busboys and Poets, a local DC chain with very good coffee and breakfast (and books) is on the way to the station. There's plenty of street parking, however I did see signs saying it's restricted to two hours M-F during the day unless you have a city pass. I have no idea if that's really enforced as there seemed to be plenty.
I stayed at Erika's place for 5 nights with my 2 teenage daughters. As other guests mention, Erika is amazingly quick to respond. She's super helpful and friendly. The neighborhood is really nice, my teenage daughters and I walked to the coop to do our week's shopping and then took Uber back for $5. I took yoga classes nearby, the metro is close, I went for a little run one morning and that was really nice- the neighborhood is good for that. The apartment was perfect for us. We arrived and needed to do a thorough sweeping, I think that step just got missed in the cleaning that happened before our arrival because everything was perfectly clean and good to go once we did the sweeping. There were fresh towels and trash liners. It's obviously cleaned regularly, I get super icked-out by a dirty place, and I felt really comfortable there. The couch situation in the living room is not as pictured with the black L-shaped couch, and the new set up is not sleep-friendly (one poofy couch and one chaise) so Erika rushed an air mattress over for me.
The apartment was clean and pretty. Although we did not meet Erika during our stay, she ensured that we had a hassle free check in and out by giving out detailed instructions. Communication was crisp and quick.
To sum up - we had a comfortable and a pleasant stay at Erika's!
Erika was very responsive and proactively reached out to make sure my experience was top notch!
Host was very welcoming. Place was just as described and super easy to stay at! Thanks again.
