Amazing place. After a day hiking in Sequoia NP, we BBQ'd our own meal and dined in this idyllic spot right on the river before whiling away the rest of the evening in front of the fire pit. The caravan itself was warm and cosy, very well kitted out with a great shower and even a TV! Mars and her team were friendly and welcoming. We'll be back for sure! I could sit on that rock by the river for days...
Mars was such a sweetheart and gave us really helpful tips for our trip to Sequoia.
The trailer was so idyllic and an escape. We even got smores with our firepit
The acceptance came promptly which is great because my vacation hinged on it. Mars is very attentive and made me feel at home quickly when I met her on day one. Her staff is phenomenal. The vista is beautiful and it was truly a hideaway with the roaring sound of the river, the mountain and the rocks, and the blue sky to complete the experience.
This place is a dream. Mars and team were very welcoming and the location by the river was perfect.
This cute little trailer is just steps away from the Kaweah River, with it's own little private area that is separate from the main house. Very nice touches like the breakfast table overlooking the river and the beautiful poppy garden. Also loved the breakfast treats that were left in the fridge each day. It should be noted that the pics of the trailer are not current - they have since done some really nice things with it, indoor and outside.
River hideaway was exactly as advertised! a cute, quaint, private hideaway near the river. it was easy to get to as it was right off the main road and only a 10-15 min drive to the main gate of sequoia. The RV is down a path from the main house but far enough away that it feels more private than the rest of the rooms/outdoor areas outside the house. the river is right outside the RV. Since you are so close to the river, it is a bit loud at night so we had to close the windows of the RV at night so we could sleep at bit. This might just be the time of the year, however. There was an area that was calm enough to go swim in. We didn't get to that, but next time :)! It seemed a bit too dangerous for us this time around. Now, back to the accommodations. The RV has everything you would possibly need including tv, wi-fi, cd stereo (not that you need it or that we used it). Most importantly, you have your own space out in front next to the river. It is the perfect set up with a campfire that is all prepped with wood and a starter. There is also a grill to do a little cooking. Mars' even provides ingredients for smores and a little boxed breakfast that was left in the refrigerator. Always a nice little touch. We suggest going to a market near by and getting stuff to cook dinner and breakfast though. It was such a nice place to cook and relax before going to Sequoia. Overall, Mars was a great host. Easy to get a hold of and accommodating. She got back to us right away when we were interested in the hideaway which made it easy for us to make our decision on where to stay. We were greeted by another girl at time of arrival (name I am forgetting) but she was so warm, welcoming and informative. She gave us some great tips about Sequoia and helped us get set up once we had settled in. We really did feel like we had our own little private place. The only bummer is the fire has to be out by 10 due to fire regulations but that was the only downside to the entire experience, but we did not want to start any fires. :) We do wish we had more time to spend up there to explore more. We were only there for a night and recommend staying at least 2 nights. When we we do, we would stay here again in heartbeat. I think it is the best place in 3 rivers (not that i know of anything else). We will most likely be back and would 100% stay here again. Overall, it was an amazing (albeit quick) weekend experience but such a perfect LA getaway. Cannot wait to come back and see more of beautiful Sequoia national...
Showed up on a Saturday night and Mars' assistant got the campfire burning within minutes. The place was great and the location was second to none. Enjoyed a relaxing long weekend! I strongly recommend the hideaway to anyone looking for an EXCELLENT place to stay within minutes of Sequoia Nat'l Park! Thanks Mars
