Liz was a thoughtful and flexible host throughout the booking process and our stay. The space was exactly what we were hoping for; it is cozy with great touches throughout (sound system, fireplace, etc.), felt secluded and yet was minutes away from downtown Prescott and various parks. I would definitely recommend the home and host to others looking to visit northern Arizona!
We were looking for a peaceful, beautiful place to spend a few days and decompress and Liz's place was absolutely perfect. The place is so cozy and beautifully situated among the granite boulders so common around Prescott. If you're an early riser, you can sit and stretch in front of the great windows that catch the morning sun. It was a little cool for us to use the little deck nestled in the rocks, but I look forward to coming back during warmer months and having coffee in the open air.
We also had the opportunity to say hello to a couple of the neighbors and they were lovely.
Liz went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, that we got situated easily and that our stay was everything we'd hoped it would be. Couldn't ask for more!
Thanks to Liz from my mom and I for the most relaxing stay in her most beautiful space. Her "home away from home" was surprisingly serene and quiet despite it's close proximity to downtown Prescott and Whiskey Row.
As my mom's Durango climbed the little winding road to Liz's cottage we marveled at how close we were to downtown, but it seemed like we were worlds away. Liz's place is quiet, clean and uncluttered. Honestly, I had wished we had more than two nights to spend just so I could sit and enjoy the the view from the deck.
Anyone that has read my couple of reviews knows that I need communication when I'm traveling...That said, Liz was the quintessential concierge and really helped me out with local restaurants that catered to my food intolerances (Go to Raven Cafe for the best GF nachos!). Plus, when I needed something that only a very few eclectic hosts would have (Raw Sugar) Liz called me from where she was in the deep woods on retreat to help me find raw honey in her pantry as a quick alternative. That's amazing.
The first morning my mother and I couldn't move from the deck, it was beautiful and tranquil. Following the events of that evening we returned to the Cottage where we sat in front of the fire place just talking.
For anyone that has knowledge regarding the balance of earth, water, fire and air...Liz's place is perfect.
Honestly, I feel wasteful only spending two nights at Liz's place.
Liz was a great host, her energy was as warm and inviting as her home. Everything was well explained and Liz always made her self reachable in case anything further was ever needed. The house was perfect for a quiet getaway, we would definitely stay again if visiting Prescott.
I had a great time meeting and enjoying Liz's house. Its nice and quiet. Her house is pleasantly nice with everything that you need. So I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in that area.
Our stay in Liz's home was perfect. We found all the comforts we could ever need and Liz is kind and thoughtful. It was great to meet her. Thanks Liz
Liz's place was a wonderful retreat to be staying while I was in town for beginning graduate studies. She was very accommodating to my needs and my schedule. Very friendly and easy to work with.
Our stay at the cottage was everything we anticipated and much more. We were close to nature and close to all of the amenities that Prescott has to offer. The cottage was a much needed retreat.
Liz provided great directions and was very responsive to our needs.
Before this airbnb experience we had only ever stayed in hotels or motels, so this was stepping out of my comfort zone completely. But it was a wonderful experience, and Liz made it very easy for us! Liz's place was close to downtown, and we were very comfortable there. We didn't spend much time at "home" because our itinerary was full, but it was wonderful to have our own little retreat to return to at the end of the day. It was a very comfortable and pleasant experience!
What a perfect vacation! Liz's warm spirit welcomed us into her charming home. We had the restful vacation we've been needing in her nurturing home, surrounded by light and nature. We felt very much at home. The location was convenient for hiking, lunches in town, and playing tourist. Our mornings and evenings were spent lounging in nature the privacy of her deck. We do hope to return!
