I feel blessed to have such a special home in an amazing place and love to share it, when possible. Too many variables at times to just use the airbnb calender. Please email to check your dates.
Although most of the time I check emails within 24 hr. , I'm an outdoor enthusiast and teacher, so may be away from internet. Airbnb says the host declined, if we don't respond within 24 hr. I will respond with a note if I decline or accept.
I enjoy hosting and am happy to answer your questions and do my best to meet your particular needs or requests. Upon arrival, you will find clear house notes to simplify your stay, and a folder with maps and info on the area.
Interaction with Guests
Depending on arrival time, I am often available for checkin- in person or by phone. I'm also available for any questions that arise before, during, or after your stay. I do not stay on the premises during your stay.
I love that: our neighborhood is nestled in the boulders and pines, that I live on a deadend street with three neighboring houses- ALL my neighbors are friendly and will help if needed, close to downtown and national forest...and more...
I haven't used the public transit- I doubt that it is very convenient. I often ride my bicycle or walk. Traffic is mellow most of the time for driving.
Other Things to Note
Guests often say they feel renewed and rested after staying here. Artists and writers feel at home. I've practiced meditation and yoga here for 15 years. No animals have ever lived here. Only natural cleaning products, etc. are used.

If I only had two words to describe Liz's home they would be "peaceful" and "sanctuary". Everything about her home was perfect for me: spacious, clean, quiet, secluded feeling while being close to everything, and a fully equipped kitchen (very important for me!). I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and wish I had not been so busy so I could have enjoyed it more!
Liz is a wonderful, warm, gracious, and respectful host and made sure I had everything I needed. The neighborhood is tight, but the house is situated in a way that you really aren't aware of neighbors except for the occasional dogs barking and the sounds of children playing. I would definitely (and probably will, if Liz will have me) stay there again.
Liz's house was perfect. Nestled amidst boulders, you feel like you're away from everyone, even though you're right in town and have neighbors next to you. Liz welcomed me into the house and gave me a tour. Everything was just as she had described it and was a perfect bungalow for my wife and me. We felt rested and refreshed when we left four days later. I would definitley stay there again.
We loved our last stay in Liz's home so much that we decided to come back again. It was just as cozy and relaxing as the last trip, and this time we even got to meet Liz in person! She was cheerful, attentive and welcoming, and has created a space with a lot of wonderful details to make you feel at home. We tried looking at other Prescott lodging options, but ultimately were drawn back to Liz's place by the fireplace, sound system, the privacy and the ease of getting to other destinations.
My husband and I were looking for a peaceful retreat from Phoenix and this was a perfect fit.
From the beginning, Liz was an amazing host. She used email, text, and phone to communicate about check in and check out times, and even to let us know our first day there about a jack for our devices to hook up to a stereo that was pushed under a table when she cleaned.
The house was quiet, clean, and cozy, with lots of natural light, a gas fireplace, (perfect for December!) and nice touches like a tea drawer and organic shower items. It was only about a ten minute drive to downtown Prescott to good eats, coffee shops, antique stores, and bars, but close to hiking adventures too. Check out Ian Russell Gallery, The Point Cocktails, and The Raven Coffee Shop.
We're definitely planning to visit again! Thanks, Liz, for everything.
What an amazing experience! It was my first time using this website, and Liz was so nice and helpful. She met me at her place and walked us through the house, and showed us how to use everything in her home. She even helped us find some good places to hike. Her home was amazing, very comfortable, cozy and close to everything. I would definitely recommend staying there if you are looking for a great spot in Prescott.
Liz's home is a soothing retreat both inside and out. such a treasure close to everything in Prescott and it includes spectacular windows facing east to enjoy the sunrise with a cup of coffee. All house information was clearly spelled out and easy to follow. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and communication with Liz was clear prior to arriving.
My partner and I were visiting family in Prescott but wanted the privacy of our own place over staying at Grandma's house and Liz' little cottage was the perfect fit. Located in the Mile High neighborhood, it was just minutes from whiskey row and grandma's house. Nestled amongst the boulders at the end of quiet secluded street in a wooded area, the location provided great view of the starry night sky. Only thing I might point out is curtains in place of a bathroom door could be awkward for some people. Wonderful stay.
