Susan and Sergi did an unbelievable job making us feel welcome Ben though they were not there for one of the nights. Even before we arrived they asked many questions about us to make our stay as personable as possible. The place was perfect and in a great location right neR the metro. I highly recommend them and this place to everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
We really enjoyed our stay in Barcelona thanks to Susan and Sergi. Their communication before we arrived was excellent and we had no trouble finding the apartment. It is only 3 blocks from Placa Espana, where you can catch the Aerobus to the airport, and bus stops and metro stations are within a block. There is also a good restaurant, Faisan, on the corner and a good bakery and grocery store down the block. The apartment looks just like the photo - very clean, well kept, and comfortable. But what really makes this a great place to stay is that Susan and Sergi make you feel welcome and are glad to have you as their guest. This was shown not only by the welcome basket of goodies, the homemade breakfast pastries and dessert, but also by their eagerness to share their culture with us. Sergi is knowledgeable about Catalan history and so proud to be Catalan that we couldn't help but affected by his enthusiasm. He also gave us valuable tips about where to eat and what areas would be worth visiting and what areas to avoid. His advice made us feel confident and safe. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Barcelona. Thank you very much Susan and Sergi!
Susan and Sergi were the best hosts anybody could hope to find. They were in contact and answering any questions I had throughout my trip planning up until the moment we arrived. The accommodated an early boat arrival and allowed us to leave our luggage with them while we explored the town and they prepared the room. Once the luggage was dropped off Sergi sat with my father and I and provided maps of the area, suggested sites to see and areas to avoid as well as useful tips to avoid being pick-pocketed.
The apartment is located near the center of everything. My father and I walked to the majority of sites we wanted to see. The furthest area took only a little over an hour to walk to. The city is gorgeous and the sites wonderful.
You are provided a separate area of the apartment where you sleep and shower. There are beautiful terraces to sit and people watch or read. The area can be a bit noisy with traffic but that didn't bother us at all.
Each morning Susan and Sergi provided a freshly made breakfast and worked around our schedule when we were heading out a bit early. They were very approachable and welcoming when we had any questions.
Susan and Sergi have an obvious love for their city and provided interesting facts and history. If I get the chance to go back to Barcelona I will look for availability with them again and suggest their lodging to anybody I know that may be heading to Barcelona.
