Our garden apartment that sleeps one couple is located in the heart of the best neighborhood in Rome (Rome's Greenwich Village). Enjoy quick access to the tram, an easy route on the train to and from the airport, and deliciously cobblestoned streets.
Adorable garden in the heart of Rome's cutest neighborhood, Trastevere.
Trastevere is the cutest part of Rome but the small, cobblestoned streets can be loud and noisy. This apartment is in one of the few quiet parts of the neighborhood and it's just steps away from the Gianicolo hill with a jaw-dropping vista of Rome and beautiful Villa Sciarra park, a hidden gem of a park for its dog friendliness and its sculptures. A bigger park is just beyond Gianicolo. Beautiful Villa Pamhili is perfect for jogging, walking the dog, and biking. If you're more of a shopper, Trastevere has adorable boutiques and the apartment is just steps away from the legendary and historic Sunday flea market, Porta Portese, with miles of bargains from antiques to second-hand clothes.
The apartment has a main room and a kitchen and bathroom as well as a bedroom that is now used for storage. The main room contains the queen sized bed and the television as well as a sofa. The apartment also has a wild garden area, Wifi internet, and a clothes washer. It's close to all the attractions and historical sites as well as being only a four-minute tram ride from Trastevere Station.
This apartment is special for its wild garden area, its dog-friendliness, its transit access, and its centrality to adorable cobbled streets and delicious restaurants that make Trastevere famous.
Private wild garden area.
I can greet you and even show you around town if you like.
What makes this neighborhood great is the romance, the food, wine, and the centrality. I can tell you all of the secret restaurants and direct you to the best views of the whole city.
Down the street from the Tram stop and a quick tram ride to Trastevere Station to catch the train to the airport.

Tara is a very kind host.
The place was clean and the garden was enjoyable on a very sunny day.
The place is very central in Trastevere, litteraly 5 minutes away from every thing, restaurants, bars, local bars and a beautiful park.
I would recommend it
We stayed at Tara’s apartment for a week in late March.
On the pros side, the apartment is ideally located in Trastevere area, with many restaurants and bars within a short walking distance. Also, accessing Rome’s various touristic sites is quite easy, either by walking or via tram and bus. It’s in a residential area of Trastevere, which means that you don’t get the streets noise, a plus in Trastevere. The apartment is not well isolated, so you still get the neighbors noise as if they were living in the same apartment, but this was only occasional.
The apartment has a garden, which is another plus. Unfortunately it’s not maintained at all.
Tara and her family seem to be nice; even if we had very limited contact: few minutes upon arrival and departure.
The apartment has two rooms, but one is completely empty (no furniture at all). The rest of the apartment is equipped with basic minimal furniture. What stuck us the most was the fact that the apartment was not clean, with dirt in every corner. Combined with humidity and lack of light, this made the apartment sticky. We spent as little time as possible in the apartment, even if we would have loved to enjoy some rest in between day and evening activities. Using the kitchen was out of question for the same reason.
The bed’s mattress was too thin. The only option we had was to stack the convertible’s mattress on top to be able to sleep decently (fyi, the convertible is in the same room). This also made us realize how much dirt was piling behind furniture (not a nice experience) and traveling in the apartment.
Wifi only worked sporadically for short lapses of time (seconds). So if you have a need for longer internet access it’s better to count on free wifi provided in the city’s bars and restaurants.
Overall, the apartment has the potential to become a nice and cosy place to stay in, in a very nice neighborhood, but this requires some cleaning, furnishing and decoration efforts.
Tara was a very good hostess and very flexible. The apartment is situated within walking distance to almost everything a typical tourist would want to see which is great! It's also close to grocery stores and public transportation. Trastevere is definitely the most romantic area with many good hidden restaurants - so don't hesitate to go.
It was great to be in the apartment of Tara. It is comfortable and beautiful to behold! Tara is a very kind person. Located in the Trastevere district, its best to make a good meal of pasta! A variety of good restaurants were around us. Also, right next to the apartment's markets, fairs, businesses in general. It is easy to travel to both the old center of Rome as the Vatican. The paths can be easily done on foot or with the means of transport that are close to the apartment too. Anyway, we love to stay at Garden in heart of Rome.
