This is one of the few places in the area with a pool.
Welcome to a place of serenity, where you can relax, enjoy great moments on the deck with a beautiful view of Mt. Kenya and wildlife at the waterhole below and in the thicket beneath. A completely off grid green home with a welcoming bush-lodge interior. For the more adventurous, go on a game drive with our house keeper, or a game walk with our guide or horse riding with prior notice? or simply relax by the plunge pool and get fresh pizza made to your liking in our Gaudi-style pizza oven.

The space
Utulivu House is located on Sangare Conservancy. The house has an inbuilt unique Olive wood design, is powered by solar and wind energy and the water is collected from rainwater and a borehole. The house is remote, making it the perfect location for a peaceful get away.
We have 3 rooms, all ensuite and our team is available throughout your stay. We have a property manager - everything must work, a gardener - the pool has to sparkle, a cook/house keeper - food must be enjoyed, and a room attendant - return from a game drive to a fresh feeling in your room.

Guest access
Guest can utilize the entire conservancy for game drives, however only accompanied by our staff.
Utilize the whole house and inner garden and feel free for a walk around the inner elephant fence.
Walks outside the elephant fence are strictly forbidden. Game walks into the conservancy only possible with the guide and prior arrangement.

Conservancy fees have to be paid prior to arrival.
On Arrival guest will have to sign an indemnity form.

I am a German National and have lived in Kenya for many years. My house up-country is situated in a private conservancy and I am surrounded by animals and nature which has been my dream since I came to Kenya many years ago.
