Light BREAKFAST, towels, shampoo, books, maps etc. are also provided.

The studio has a very convenient room layout with the living/sleeping area being separated from the kitchen by the hallway and the bathroom.
It has been furnished preferring local hand made and design products, also some refurbished reclaimed pieces - as in our own home.
In the living/sleeping area you have a comfortable double bed, toilet table, chair, foldable armchair, bookshelf, 32 inch Philips LCD TV, DVD & Blu-ray player.
A baby cot can also be arranged free of charge if ordered in advance.
The foldable armchair has been bought thinking of a place where a child too big for a baby cot could sleep, but it actually fits an adult as well if necessary (it`s 195x95 cm when opened).
The bathroom comes with shower, bath, hair dryer, washer&dryer, towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and bath foam.
The kitchen is fully fitted with dish washer, cooking range&oven, fridge&freezer, toaster, microwave oven, water kettle, pots, pans, plates, glasses, cutlery and plenty of other cooking utensils. You are welcome to use it to it`s fullest potential (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
In the hallway there are two large built-in cupboards with spare blankets, pillows etc., a large mirror, a digital steam iron and an ironing board.
You will have full private access to the whole studio. Our family does not live in the same building, but a 15-20 minutes drive away in Kadriorg area.
Interaction with Guests
We prefer personal contacts and would like to hand you over and later collect the keys myself. Sometimes it could also be our friends.
We`d be gladly available for a chat if you wish so and you can ask any questions you might have already beforehand via e-mail/phone or on the spot.
The studio has a very good location in the pedestrianized part of one of the main streets in the Old Town. It`s surrounded by an array of cultural attractions, shops, cafes, restaurants, delis, pubs and art galleries.
You can start with sightseeing and shopping right on your doorstep (literally!). One of our favourite gift shops Paul Pikk is located on the ground floor of our house. Across the street is a deli selling wonderful patisseries.
One of the most traditional Estonian pubs - Hell Hunt (meaning Gentle Wolf in Estonian!) is reachable in less than a minute.
To the closest and Tallinn`s tallest church - St. Olaf - it`s only 200 m.
The Town Hall Square is within 5 minutes` walk (400 m). It`s also close, but far enough not to hear the noisy street festivals in summer while you want to rest.
And it`s important to mention that the infamous party-triangle of the Old Town is not in the proximity.
Almost everything you need you could reach on foot. Just to the airport it would be a longer hike - 5 km (20 minutes to drive). Here are some other distances on foot:
terminal A of the passenger harbour 1,3 km/ 15 min (6,5 min by taxi)
terminal D of the passenger harbour 1,8 km/ 21 min (10 min by taxi)
main train station (Balti jaam) 700 m/ 8 min
the closest 24 h shop (groceries&consumer goods) 280 m/ 3 min
Viru shopping centre & city bus terminal 1 km/ 12 min
Solaris shopping&culture centre 1 km/ 12 min
the closest tram stop 400 m/ 5 min (lines 1 and 2)
Parking in the Old Town always costs 4,8 € / hour. The pedestrianized zone starts 60 metres from the house - so this is the closest you could park.
The closest car park is situated at Vaike Rannavarav 6 (zone P22) 350 metres from our house and it costs 2 € / hour, 15 € / day.
They have video surveillance.
There are also cheaper (2-10 € / 24 h) parking areas close to the passenger harbour, 10-15 minutes to walk from our apartment, but not all of them have video surveillance.
Other Things to Note
This 42 square metre studio is situated in one of the largest apartment buildings of the Old Town. The winding cellars date back to the mediaeval period, but the upper floors have been built in 1920ies and feature a lofty entrance, stylish hallways and a historical elevator with a fine wood cabin - things you rarely find in other houses of the area.
The building is situated on a slope and can be entered from two different streets (Pikk 36 and Olevimagi 5) and two levels. One entrance leads you into the cellars and the other into the main lobby area. From both you will eventually get to the studio situated on the first floor (in Estonian 2nd floor) above a nice gift shop.
Check in and check out
We can be flexible with the check in and check out times according to the previous and next bookings. But normally you should check in between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and check out before 12 p.m. Late night check in would be possible only in exceptional cases. Please ask us about it before you book. In case of emergency (flight delay, car breakdown etc.) we would of course find a solution as well.
Please note that we don`t live in the same house and if not agreed otherwise please give us a call or send me a text message when you arrive in Tallinn. Then we can both estimate your approximate arrival time at the apartment and I`ll be there on time. From our home it takes us about 20 minutes to get there.
We respectfully ask that everything within the apartment is treated with care.
Please no shoes in the livingroom / bedroom.
Smoking in the apartment and in the corridors of the building is strictly forbidden.
Pet`s are not allowed.
This studio is not for parties and quiet is appreciated especially from 10 p.m. until 7 a.m. But you`re welcome to invite a few friends over for a glass of wine etc. We do provide more than 2 sets of glasses exactly for this purpose.
Cleaning is included in the price. If you stay for a week or more, cleaning is once per week. But you could change towels more often as there are supplies in the cupboard.
Every additional cleaning costs 30 €.
Enjoy and make it your home!
We`re happy to provide lots of local knowledge to help you make the most of your stay!
Liina, the host of this listing, was wonderfully helpful at every stage of the booking process. In addition, she generously helped us purchase opera tickets as we were having difficulties with language etc on the web site. She contacted us by e-mail shortly before we were due to arrive & confirmed details. We were met promptly at the apt & given an explanation of operating details. The apt is superb - new, clean, modern & v. well decorated. Many lovely touches like milk & a sweet treat waiting in the fridge. The tour of the town was most interesting & Liina a charming knowledgeable guide. The location of the apt could not be better..close to everything & in the heart of the beautiful medieval city.
Beautiful apartment in a fantastic location right in the heart of the old town. We received a warm welcome from Liina and were pleasantly surprised by all the little touches she'd left for us. The bed was really comfy and the entire place was very clean, much nicer than a hotel! Our first time using Air Bnb and we definitely use again. Highly recommend staying in this apartment, we'll be back!
Liina and her husband are amazing hosts! Their apartment is situated in the center of the old town. There are plenty restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. Town hall is just several minutes away from the apartment.
The flat is morden, stylish, cosy and comfortable. It has everything we needed and even more. Liina provided some breakfast meal also.
Liina is a great host! Walking tour was interesting and her advices were very helpful. Thank you!
Liina's place is highly recommended!
We spent only one night at Liina's apartment, but I can say without doubt that it was perfect. It is located in the center of the old city, on one of the main streets, close to all the main sites, and with lots of food opportunities and bars just around the corner.
The apartment itself was very clean and bright, situated in a new building, with everything you could need, even a washing machine. There was fresh milk in the fridge and some cereals for breakfast.
As a host, Liina was very helpful and gave all the information about how to get to the apartment and the surroundings. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to have a tour around the city, but we will definitely come back to cozy Tallin to do more sightseeing and stay in this amazing apartment!
Good location in the heart of Old Town, only 2 minutes by walk from Town Hall square. Very nice, clean and comfortable apartment for 3 persons. Kitchen equipped with all necessary belongings for cooking, as well as the bathroom (there are organic shampoo, conditioner, shower gel). But the main advantage of this apartment is its friendly and lovely owner Liina. Liina will advice you interesting places to visit in Tallinn based on her own experience. We loved this place and we thank Liina for her hospitality!
This place was superb! It was like staying in a hotel only better. Its recently renovated, super clean, has a wonderful deep bathtub, comfy bed, well equipped modern kitchen and is centrally located in the old town. Liina was a perfect host. Easy going, considerate, very generous and with a wealth of knowledge about Tallinn, Estonia and its history. The walking tour with Liina was a great bonus - really interesting and enjoyable. Definitely recommend staying at this fabulous apartment in Tallinn.
I would describe myself as friendly, communicative, hospitable and organized.
Married, mother of 2 preschool children - boy and girl.
My experience in tourism/travelling goes back about 15 years when I started to work as a guide in Tallinn during the long (3 months!) summer breaks from highschool, later the Tallinn University.
I have a B.A. in German and Finnish and a M.A. in conference interpreting (consecutive and simultaneous). I have mainly focussed on interpreting since 2004 and used to live abroad for some years because of my work. In 2009 I moved back to Tallinn and now I do both interpreting and guiding as a freelance. I work in English, German and Finnish, but I also speak some Russian and French.
My work gives me the possibility to travel a lot and meet new people from very different cultures. It`s something I`ve always loved and could not live without!
In addition to professional travel I discover new places with my family too. We love to visit cities like London, Berlin and Amsterdam. My personal favourites are also Copenhagen, Granada and Strasbourg. Our favourite country outside of Europe is Oman, in Europe it`s not so easy to choose. The UK, Germany...
Hiking and canoeing in Estonian nature or abroad are also very close to our hearts.
As a guest I prefer a personal approach, not anonymity. And it`s always nice to meet the locals and have a chat about how`s life around there, where to go & what to do.
I value cleanliness and privacy and that I get delivered what was promised. I`m rather bad in haggling about prices&terms&conditions and prefer clear fixed beforehand agreements.
I`ve always known that when I open my own guest apartment I want to take time for my guests in case they want to have a chat and ask some questions, not just leave the keys for them somewhere to pick up. It would be nice to share my in-depth knowledge about Tallinn or just exchange about travel experiences etc.
As a guest I`ve sometimes missed little things like a hair dryer, city map or bottle opener, so when fitting out my own guest apartment I´ve tried to include as much useful stuff and information as possible.
