The studio has a very convenient room layout with the living/sleeping area being separated from the kitchen by the hallway and the bathroom.
It has been furnished preferring local hand made and design products, also some refurbished reclaimed pieces - as in our own home.
In the living/sleeping area you have a comfortable queen size bed, toilet table, chair, pull-out armchair, bookshelf, 32 inch Philips LCD TV, DVD & Blu-ray player.
A baby cot is also available free of charge.
The pull-out armchair has been bought thinking of a place where a child too big for a baby cot could sleep, but it actually fits an adult as well if necessary (it`s 195x95 cm when opened). It`s not recommended for people with back problems and for longer stays.
The bathroom comes with shower, bath, hair dryer, washer&dryer, towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and bath foam.
The kitchen is fully fitted with dish washer, cooking range&oven, fridge&freezer, toaster, microwave oven, water kettle, pots, pans, plates, glasses, cutlery and plenty of other cooking utensils. You are welcome to use it to it`s fullest potential (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
In the hallway there are two large built-in cupboards with spare blankets, pillows, 2 big umbrellas etc., a large mirror, a digital steam iron and an ironing board.
You will have full private access to the whole studio. Our family does not live in the same building, but a 15-20 minutes drive away in Kadriorg area.
Interaction with guests
We prefer personal contacts and would like to hand you over and the keys ourselves. Sometimes it could also be our friends.
We`d gladly be available for a chat if you wish so and you can ask any questions you might have already beforehand via e-mail/phone or on the spot.
Other things to note
This 42 square meter studio is situated in one of the largest apartment buildings of the Old Town. The winding cellars date back to the medieval period, but the upper floors have been built in 1920ies and feature a lofty entrance, stylish hallways and a historical elevator with a fine wood cabin - things you rarely find in other houses of the area.
The building is situated on a slope and can be entered from two different streets (Pikk 36 and Olevimagi 5) and two levels. One entrance leads you into the cellars and the other into the main lobby area. From both you will eventually get to the studio situated on the first floor (in Estonian 2nd floor) above a nice gift shop.
Check in and check out
We can be flexible with the check in and check out times and luggage storage according to the previous and next bookings. The official check-in time is 3 pm and check-out is at noon (12.00).
We can offer 24 h check-in, but if you arrive after 9 pm, please inform us about it as much in advance as possible.
Please note that we don`t live in the same house and if not agreed otherwise please give us a call or send us a text message when you arrive in Tallinn. Then we can both estimate your approximate arrival time at the apartment and we`ll be there on time. From our home it takes us about 20 minutes to get there.
We respectfully ask that everything within the apartment is treated with care.
Please no shoes in the common room / bedroom.
Smoking in the apartment and in the corridors of the building is strictly forbidden.
Pet`s are not allowed.
This studio is not for parties and quiet is appreciated especially from 10 p.m. until 7 a.m. But you`re welcome to invite a few friends over for a glass of wine etc. We do provide more than 2 sets of glasses exactly for this purpose.
Cleaning is included in the price. If you stay for a week or more, cleaning is once per week.
Every additional cleaning costs 30 €.
Enjoy and make it your home!

I would describe myself as friendly, communicative, hospitable and organized.
Married, mother of 2 children - boy and girl.
My experience in tourism/travelling goes back about 18 years when I started to work as a guide in Tallinn during the long (3 months!) summer breaks from high school, later the Tallinn University.
I have a B.A. in German and Finnish and a M.A. in conference interpreting (consecutive and simultaneous). I have mainly focused on interpreting since 2004 and used to live abroad for some years because of my work. In 2009 I moved back to Tallinn and now I do both interpreting and guiding as a freelance. I work in English, German and Finnish, but I also speak some Russian and French.
My work gives me the possibility to travel a lot and meet new people from very different cultures. It`s something I`ve always loved and could not live without!
In addition to professional travel I discover new places with my family too. We love to visit cities like London, Berlin and Amsterdam. My personal favorites are also Copenhagen, Granada and Strasbourg. Our favorite country outside of Europe is Oman, in Europe it`s not so easy to choose. Spain, Germany...
Hiking and canoeing in Estonian nature or abroad are also very close to our hearts.
As a guest I prefer a personal approach, not anonymity. And it`s always nice to meet the locals and have a chat about how`s life around there, where to go & what to do.
I value cleanliness and privacy and that I get delivered what was promised. I`m rather bad in haggling about prices&terms&conditions and prefer clear fixed beforehand agreements.
I`ve always known that when I open my own guest apartment I want to take time for my guests in case they want to have a chat and ask some questions, not just leave the keys for them somewhere to pick up. It would be nice to share my in-depth knowledge about Tallinn or just exchange about travel experiences etc.
As a guest I`ve sometimes missed little things like a hair dryer, city map or bottle opener, so when fitting out my own guest apartment I´ve tried to include as much useful stuff and information as possible.
