Interaction with Guests
I am generally gone during the day, and my family and I are home most evenings. We will respect your need for privacy, but are more than willing to be your tour guide if you are looking to explore our beautiful city.
One of Saskatoon's oldest neighbourhoods, there is a strong sense of community, culture and a thriving arts scene. Enjoy the scenic Meewasin trails along the South Saskatchewan River, take in an afternoon of art at the Mendel Art Gallery, or grab a delicious latte at City Perks Coffeehouse.
We are two blocks away from a city transit bus stop that goes directly downtown to link you to wherever else you need to go. The downtown core, UofS, and Broadway districts are within walking/biking distance. Centrally located, you can drive most places in the city within 20 minutes.
Ours is a non-smoking home. Although they may try to convince you otherwise, the cats are not to be let outside. We expect guests to respect the cleanliness of our home and pick up after themselves.
I had a lovely stay. The neighbour is very quiet, and close to the airport. The room was beautiful and stocked full. Shannon thought of anything and everything one might need during their stay here. I will definitely be back here when I am traveling through Saskatoon.
Had a wonderful stay with Shannon. The 3 cats were very lovable; always up to some sort mischief. Thanks for everything Shannon.
Shannon made me feel really welcomed and her posting is very accurate.
Shannon provided me with information so that I could get around and locate stuff easily.
The room was spacious and next to the bathroom, the location was comfortable with a nearby coffee shop and grocery. The neighborhood is safe and walkable, close enough to downtown and accessible to the river, although there were some parking restrictions. The cats were a little more friendly than we expected and we moved after the first night. We were a little unsure of what use we could make of the space as far as cooking and relaxing outside of the room. This room is good for someone who has lots to do outside but needs a place to sleep, and it did not meet our needs for a space in which to relax and rest.
SHANNON made me feel most welcome the boys as well. One of the cats escaped on my arrival which I thought might have an effect on me stay but the cats accommodated me into the family nicely. It is easy to walk most places in down town and it is a very safe neighbourhood. It was enlightening to see families living with a small amount of TV impact in there lives and embracing life. When I chose this airbnb I had no idea that it was in the same street as my son. A short 10 minute walk away to visit it was very central to town n the airport.
I had most of my meals with my family except breakfast which the family had left for their various days activities by the time I awoke. They were so quiet I never heard them get up n leave.
Fortunately the weather was fantastic n very little rain so I found the back deck great to sit in the sun out of the wind, watch the birds n read my book. My grandchildren had afternoon naps so I came back to the airbnb for a bit of rest ànd recreation. Fortunately it was a long weekend and the building next door ceased until Tuesday morning. Not that it bothered me I needed to be up by that time anyway. Shannon and the boys live busy full lives n I wish them a successful harvest with their tomato seedlings they have planted.
