Lovely neighbourhood. It used to be a working class district populated with a mix of Irish immigrants and French Canadians however it is now quite cosmopolitan. Recently the area has become more and more gentrified.Very conveniently located,it is a stone throw from the heart of downtown Montreal but offers a very quaint atmosphere with the Canal, the proximity to the St-Lawrence River, the Atwater Market, etc.
By car, 10 minutes from Champlain and Victoria Bridge. You can park the car in the driveway.
Public transportation is very convenient with a subway station only 10 minutes walk from the studio or 5 minutes to a bus stop that takes you right to downtown Montreal.

Lucie made us feel at home. She was wonderful in providing cheese, bread, drinks, and some fruit. We certainly felt welcomed! The listing was very accurate, and the neighborhood was very nice - older heritage homes. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood. We would certainly recommend Lucie's studio to anyone visiting Montreal. Our first Airbnb experience was great.
We loved our stay at Lucie's studio. It's a beautiful, well-appointed place, and easy to walk to the metro, Marche Atwater, lovely parks, good food, and anything else you could want. Lucie was very gracious meeting us later in the evening than we had originally planned and it was so nice to get to her place after a long day of driving! She had beautiful artichoke olive bread waiting for us, and yogurt, strawberries and fresh croissants for breakfast. We were so happy to be there for a few days. Highly recommended.
Lucie's loft was great for me and my wife. Walking distance to metro, market and restaurants. The neighbourhood was very quiet. Super clean and the courtyard was great for relaxing. Lucie was very quick to respond to any questions we had prior to us arriving. Would definitely stay here again!
My sister and I had an absolutely lovely stay at Lucie's studio apartment. Adorable, spotless, and cozy. The location is perfect, easy walk to the metro and Atwater market. Lucie is so sweet and kind. She greeted us with fresh bread and berries. Take her up on her offer to borrow her bikes and ride along the canal, it's lovely! Could not reccomend staying here more. Perfect for two. Thank you Lucie!
Lucie was a wonderful host! So friendly and welcoming, and provided us with all of the essentials we needed for our stay as well as plenty of tips about where to go and what to do in Montreal. The studio was lovely and in such an ideal location. We would love to stay with Lucie again in the future.
I can't recommend Lucie's loft enough! Not only is it a fantastic location - close to metro, bike path, restaurants and a wonderful market - Lucie was such a thoughtful, warm host. We arrived to a baguette, croissants and beverages in the fridge! The loft is filled with maps and Lucie is a treasure trove of information about Montreal and where to go and how to get there. The bikes were a total bonus. I can't wait to visit again! Thanks so much, Lucie!!
