Lovely neighbourhood. It used to be a working class district populated with a mix of Irish immigrants and French Canadians however it is now quite cosmopolitan. Recently the area has become more and more gentrified.Very conveniently located,it is a stone throw from the heart of downtown Montreal but offers a very quaint atmosphere with the Canal, the proximity to the St-Lawrence River, the Atwater Market, etc.
By car, 10 minutes from Champlain and Victoria Bridge. You can park the car in the driveway.
Public transportation is very convenient with a subway station only 10 minutes walk from the studio or 5 minutes to a bus stop that takes you right to downtown Montreal.
Other Things to Note

O melhor lugar que ficamos no Canadá! Confortável, limpo, aconchegante! Incrível!
A Lucie é incrível! Nos deixou croassants fresquinhos e outros mimos delíciosos na geladeira!
Adoramos a experiência!
Lucie was a wonderful, helpful host. We had a good chat upon our arrival where she gave us some recommendations about where to eat and how to get around.
She had also bought us some freshly baked croissants and a baguette to have once we settled. The fridge was stocked with wonderful items to make breakfast or a snack and coffee, tea and juice was available too.
When we needed something like honey for our sore throats, there was no need to go to the shops as she was happy to lend us some. We definitely made ourselves local at a nearby place that did Caribbean Cuisine for dinner. Because they had home style cooking and we found the studio to be so comfortable and quiet, we felt at home. If ever in Montreal, we would definitely stay here again.
Thanks for everything Lucie!
Bonjour! Our thanks to Lucie who greeted us on arrival and made our stay in Montreal feel very welcome. We will definitely be coming back! The studio was exactly as pictured. It gave us our privacy but our host was on hand if needed. Thank you for a wonderful time. We definitely recommend Lucie's place on your visit to Montreal.
My partner and I had a great time in Montreal, and Lucie's studio was the perfect choice for us. The location is right down the street from the Metro and not far from a wonderful market. Lucie was really great welcoming us with a snack and maps of Montreal to help us get acquainted with the area. I definitely recommend this clean and comfortable place to anyone wanting to visit this charming city!
Accessing the apartment was easy with Lucie's directions. The apartment was exactly as described with the only surprises being snacks in the fridge for me. I had my own access through the garage which made getting and out very easy. The metro station was an 8 minute walk and there is an IGA about half the distance between the apartment and the metro which was extremely convent. I would certainly stay here again.
As good as the other reviews say. Lovely loft, fabulous host, delicious snacks / breakfast provided. Great location too - it only took us 25mins door-to-door to get back from the Bell Centre where we went to a hockey match.
We can honestly say nothing but praise for Lucie and her residence that she provided. She was such a gracious host and went out of our way to make us feel comfortable and welcome in her space.
It was such a great place to see while exploring Montreal. She provided great directions and was at home to meet us when we arrived. She welcomed us in and made us feel at home from the start. She then took the time to show us around and explain everything. If you are looking for good restaurant recommendations just ask her because all of the places that she recommended were quite wonderful (especially the Mexican food.)
One of the great things that she did was to provide us with bikes. It was a great way to explore the city. We would have done it more if we were in the city for a longer time. It is a great way to get around and very convenient.
As for the housing it was nothing but great for me and my wife. My wife is super picky when it comes to hotel rooms and she had nothing but praise for the place. It was a perfect place in a great neighborhood. It was a loft above her garage. The bed was super comfortable, and perfect after traveling on a train all day. It was a perfect place to unwind and relax. She stocked the fridge for us with wonderful bread, cheese, and berries. There was coffee there as well. It was a perfect way to wake up and have a wonderful breakfast. Everything was perfectly clean and and towels she left for us were perfect as well. No complaints whatsoever with the accommodations we were provided. It was fantastic.
We really found no faults at all. It was perfect for the two of us for a short visit to see Montreal. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much to Lucie for being such a wonderful host and providing us for a wonderful place to stay in Montreal.
