If you want to go further afield in Kent then the train station is very close. Buses run regularly to Canterbury.
The house was lovely and just as described. The house was clean and well kept. It is in a great position, close to the sea and near to the town but away from traffic. Garden was really lovely on a hot weekend with extra entertainment provided by two black cats from next door playing under the apple tree. Good description of how to get to the house and the local shop/cafe was great for brunch and picking up supplies (beers and sweets!).
Lovely guest advice book with lots of information and maps of the area. Cottage was beautiful and easy to find. Parking was restricted but we soon found a space on a nearby road and it was no problem! Beautiful area and beaches, food was easy to find and there was a wide selection, something for everyone!!
The short break we took at Aaron's cottage is the first time we've used Airbnb, and, if this property is typical, it will definitely not be the last. A very attractive cottage which exactly matched the description - beautifully furbished, spotlessly clean, extremely welcoming and superbly located for easy strolling to the attractions. Parking was a bit of an issue, however. Loading and unloading is no problem but it was a challenge to find an unrestricted parking space for longer term parking - and you will want to leave the car parked up as you do not need a vehicle to explore Whitstable, nor for further afield if you are happy with the good local bus services. But it was the middle of August, and no doubt there is less traffic away from peak season - best to bring a small car if you have a choice, though.
Lovely cottage. Great size for our family of four. It was very clean, tidy and modern with the furniture and artwork adding to the property's character. The cottage is very close to the beach and no more than 10 minutes from Whitstable centre which was a good place to eat and shop. Closer to home was Windy Stores which for breakfast and drinks throughout the day was no hardship at all, it was a great place for food. Only small downside was that parking close to the property was tricky when it was busy but there were plenty of roads within a 2-3 minute walk away to park in. We all hope to be back next year. Thank you.
Aaron's Cottage was fantastic and you couldn't get much closer to the seaside! I would recommend the Cottage and Whitstable to anyone, really you must go we had an amazing weekend away!
What a lovely cottage. Lots of nice touches and essentials left for your use. Just have to watch the quite steep steps up to the bedrooms, which might make it tricky for the elderly.
Aaron was an excellent host , recommending a great day out on a boat watching seals near Ramsgate . He even let us help ourselves to his excellent range of DVDs ! The location of the cottage was excellent - we could walk and cycle to our hearts content !
The house itself was brilliant For our family of four - it had a lovely bench in the front to sit and read , and a good sized garden . We could easily store our bikes .
The house was so clean and tidy , and we met Aaron's wonderful cleaner Jo, who made it perfect for us .
A great place to stay and would thoroughly recommend the cottage and this part of the world . We had some great days out in Margate, Canterbury , Ramsgate And Whitstable itself
