  • Punta Bonita

This is our favorite beach. It is the kind of place you would expect to wake up if you had died and gone to heaven. Still warm waters, beautiful reefs, white sands and no tourists.
    Las Terrenas
  • El Limón

An adventurous horseback trip winding through jungle, steep pathways of incredible tropical vegetation, wildlife, coffee and cocoa plants culminating with the magnificent waterfall.
    El Limón Samana
  • EcoLodge Paraiso Cano Hondo

A lovely little hotel within the National Park. We love it because it is similar to our place in that it is an ecological jungle retreat. It is also one of the first places we visited upon arrival.
    Calle El Hospital Hato Mayor
  • Playa Rincón

This beach made famous by lonely planet who made it the second most beautiful beach in the world some 10 years ago. I recommend it for this reason and as a bench mark for the other beaches we know.

  • Los Haitises National Park

Samaná is an ecological paradise. Here, you can go to Los Haitises national park to see mangrove swamps, islets, and caves with cave art. Cayo Levantado [islet] and humpback whale-watching.
    Samana
  • El Cabito

I nearly always recommend to my guest to visit El Cabito for their last evening romantic meal. It is an impossibly romantic setting on top of a cliff with views to die for and excellent food.
    Samana
  • Playa Frontón

For me this is the second most beautiful beach on the peninsular. It has the cliffs of insanity, caves, beautiful unspoiled reefs, white sands and clear bright water.
