We had a great time. Everything we wanted to do in Staunton was within walking distance and the room was great. We really enjoyed sitting out on the rooftop patio at night. Ellen and Lou were very nice and provided us everything we needed for the visit.
We had a fabulous time in Staunton. Lou and Ellen's place was perfectly situated to visit all of Staunton by foot. The apartment was beautiful. Very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Ellen was a gracious host and we are happy to recommend it as a great place to stay.
Pictures do not do this house justice! It is gorgeous - and the view form the rooftop terrace is by far the best in Staunton. As someone who lived in Staunton for 25 years - I can truly say the location is the best available, footsteps away to all the happenings. Ellen could not have been a more gracious hostess - we will stay again anytime they will have us!
We had a great weekend escape in Staunton! The apartment is in the perfect location for enjoying all of the charming restaurants, shops, and cultural offerings in the town. Ideal for anyone attending one of the wonderful plays at the Shakespeare Theater and also perfect for anyone needing access to Mary Baldwin College (visiting parents or alums!). The owners and their lovely dog, Tess, were helpful, friendly, and made our stay very pleasant (the wine, coffee, and cake were wonderful surprises!) The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and in excellent condition. Highly recommend it!
Fabulous apartment, right on main street of Staunton, but somehow still peaceful and quiet. Amazing views from the balcony. Friendly, helpful hosts provided everything we needed, right down to a child-sized towel for our toddler, and a much-needed bottle of wine for us. We loved it here and can't wait to visit again.
We had a lovely stay at Ellen and Lou's Attic Apartment. Lou greeted us when we arrived and gave us the tour of the space. The location was in perfect walking distance to all the downtown shops and restaurants, and we enjoyed a glass of wine on the rooftop deck. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Staunton. I would recommend Lou and Ellen's to anyone!
