Interaction with Guests
We live on the other side of the house. Guests have good privacy, but they will see us a few times a day. We serve our guests and do not join them for breakfast. This way they feel like a king and queen for the day! This also gives them some privacy and time to plan their days. We are here, however, to help our guests with any issues.
There is no place on earth as gorgeous as Gig Harbor on a sunny day. To the east stands Mt. Rainier tall and majestic with the Cascade Mountains at its feet. To the west are the Olympic Mountains as a beautiful backdrop to the villages a short drive from Gig Harbor. Eagles soar in our skies, a large variety of birds visit the yard, and deer may wander from the woods to munch the apple tree. The Parsonage is located only one and half blocks from Gig Harbor Bay. Shops, restaurants, a great museum, art galleries, boat-kayak-and stand up board rentals, parks, and picnic areas line the waterfront. There are dirt trails through the woods and paved trails for both pedestrians and bicyclists. A new YMCA is only one mile away. Gig Harbor is a quaint village that has big name stores and smaller shops. There is not as much rain as we like the non-Washingtonian's to think! When it does rain, it is generally droplets rather than mist. We are centrally located to many top visitor sites in the greater Puget Sound region and as the gateway to the Olympic Peninsula.
Gig Harbor is an original fishing village only 10 minutes from Tacoma. However, most of Gig Harbor has been built in the past 30 years. One should rent a car for best access to exploring the area. We have had guests that did not rent a car when visiting others in the area and they were completely happy. There is plenty of off street parking.
Other Things to Note

We use our garden produce, herbs, and flowers for the breakfast meal.
Smoking is not permitted in the house. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets. We do have some infant and preschool equipment and toys.
