Even if you aren't going there for shopping, the Hôtel de Ville bazaar (BHV) is worth a visit: this large store has had a heritage emblematic of the area since it opened in 1856.

Patrice was the best host one could ask for. A real ambassador for AirBNB concept. He was a great communicator and very thoughtful with the way the apartment is set up to his explanation of everything about the apartment, the direct area and Paris in general. A beautiful apartment in the heart of Le Marais. Close to lots of transport and tourist attractions. Made falling in Love with Paris that much easier ;) thanks Patrice
The four of us totally enjoyed our stay in Patrice's apartment. The location is SO great. Rue Rambiteau is a real street where real locals shop daily. There is everything you would ever need, including restaurants. The apartment was a bit smaller than it looked in photos but still good and we would rent again.
Patrice is a wonderful host. He went out of his way to be helpful, offering a lot of very useful information. The apartment is lovely, the beds are very comfortable, and the location couldn't be better. I highly recommend this property!
This place was very cute. It was clean, well-equipped, and just an overall nice place to stay while we were in Paris. The owner was incredibly accommodating, getting up very early in the morning to meet us and to see us off. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere inexpensive to stay in Paris.
We had a lovely time in a very nice Paris apartment. Patrice was there to welcome us and inform us about the apartment and the area we were in. the street is lively with the most beautiful park behind the apartment. All the right shops and the metro station at the corner of the street.
The apartment was fully equipt with even a washing machine. Beds were comfortable and so was the rest of the furniture.
First I would stay at Patrice's apartment every time I came to Paris. It is a great place and area to stay. More importantly Patrice is so terrific. He carried my bag up and down the 4 flights of stairs. He explained everything, he gave excellent recommendations about La Marais. I had a bike tour arranged on my arrival and so he met me early and gave clear directions so that I could get to the meeting point on time. The apartment is lovely, clean and wonderful. I highly recommend staying here to one and all. Christine.
We had a wonderful time staying at Patrice's 2 bedroom flat in Le Marais. He is an absolutely wonderful and kind host who works very hard to make sure your stay in Paris is the best. He's very easy to contact, so if you need anything from more detergent to ordering a taxi to pick you up, Patrice will take care of it.
The location of the flat is perfect. You're surrounded by bakeries, grocers, and other little shops that can take care of anything you're looking for. There's also a Metro station right around the corner, so you have instant access to the rest of Paris, and it's only a 15 to 20 minute walk to Notre Dame. So you are definitely in a great location to explore the rest of the city.
The flat is 4 stories up, so it will be quite a climb, but all of the neighbors are very friendly and all of us felt completely safe the entire time we were staying there.
I cannot recommend Patrice enough as a host, and would stay in any of the flats he has listed. It was just a great experience overall with him, and it made our stay in Paris that much more memorable! Thank you Patrice!
