Right in the center of Paris, the Hôtel de Ville district lies next to the Saint-Merri district, on the right bank of the Seine, opposite Île de la Cité.

Perpendicular to Rue de Rivoli, Rue Beaubourg leads to the Centre d’Art Moderne Georges Pompidou. A small detour takes you to another flamboyant, Gothic building: the Eglise Saint-Merri.
Behind the government building, the Eglise Saint-Gervais conceals its Gothic structure behind a more traditional facade. You get splendid views walking along the Seine between the Arcole and Notre-Dame bridges.
Even if you aren't going there for shopping, the Hôtel de Ville bazaar (BHV) is worth a visit: this large store has had a heritage emblematic of the area since it opened in 1856.

Patrice was a truly wonderful host. Even though our travel plans were unpredictable until the last minute, he adapted and made sure he could meet my sister and niece who had to take a separate flight and arrived before me. His directions for taking the metro were very specific and they had no problem at all finding the apartment even though they had never before traveled to Paris. The apartment was perfect for our needs. The location is so great. Easy short walk to the metro and quick walks to many sites around town. This was my third visit to Paris, and I have to say that the whole idea that Parisians are rude or unfriendly is so very untrue.
Before, during and as we left Paris Patrice was the consummate host informing, educating and asking about our needs. He helped arrange a much needed taxi service from CDG to the Apartment and also helped for the departure at the end to La Gare Monparnesse showing up at 0645 hrs in the morning to help us with luggage and working with the Taxi. The accommodations are clean, functional and a fantastic location for both grocery needs and metro needs. I look forward to our next visit and staying at the apartment under the kind host Patrice. Exceptional!
Patrice made us feel very welcome. We had clear communication before the trip and he met us at the apartment when we arrived. The apartment was ready for us even though we arrived early in the morning. He took quite a bit of time to tell us about the apartment and things to do in the area. He also made himself available for any questions we had during the week.
Wonderful apartment in a lovely area. We love Le Marais anyway with its wide variety of bars and restaurants. Patrice couldn't have been any more helpful. Explaining routes to take and places to visit. Very welcoming. A joy all round.
Me with my husband and our friends (married couple) enjoyed a lot our stay in Patrice apartment. It was very clean and exactly as described. We loved that it is very authentic and situated in such a beautiful building.
Patrice was very friendly and explained to us everything we needed to know about the apartment. He also booked the taxi for us and ensured that it arrived on time.
Our family of four ( 19 and 21 year old daughters) has just returned from our most enjoyable trip to Paris. We made our way easily to our Le Marais apartment in the heart of Paris with great directions from our host Patrice. Patrice met us on street level and helped to carry our heavy luggage up to our fourth floor apartment. He was a strong and good humoured welcoming committee! Our apartment was just as pictured and Patrice made us feel welcome by giving us tips for the apartment and for making the most of the surrounding area. The place was well equipped, clean and tidy! He helped us to navigate the many cafes, bakeries and markets that were waiting right out our door. Food choices are endless!
This was my third time to Paris and I will always plan to stay in this area on any return visit. We even managed to take in the colurful Chinese New Year Parade that made its way though our streets. Patrice arranged a taxi for our easy departure and helped us again with our luggage. Thank-you Paris and Patrice!
We loved this spot so much that I hesitate to write a good review for fear that it won't be available when I want to go back! But everyone should know how wonderful this location was. it was perfect for 3 people. Exactly as expected, if not better. Patrice met us in the early morning at the apartment. He carried 2 large suitcases up the four flights of stairs for us in spite of our protests that we could do it. He made us feel completely welcome immediately and had tons of great recommendations/helpful pieces of information. He hooked us up with this awesome daily wifi service that is WAY more affordable than global data and can be shared. The beds were comfy, the shower was hot with better water pressure than I've had in some hotels in the US, and tons of outlets!
Its right around the corner from the Centre Pompidou which has some of the best views of Paris from the top floor. Also less than a block from the Rambuteau metro stop with dozens of great food options within walking distance.
I cannot rave about Patrice and this apartment enough. You'll love it!
