The house is in a wonderful and vibrant area of west-end downtown Toronto, between Roncesvalles and Parkdale residential neighbourhoods. If you are driving, you can easily arrange a city permit for street parking. Easy access to all downtown attractions - short walk to all streetcars to nearby downtown and subway system, many cafes and restaurants - live music, interesting shops, small galleries, parks, library, cinema, grocery stores, swimming pools, and Lake Ontario.
I have lived here for 20 years and have rented the room to many people over the years. I am a friendly, progressive woman. I have travelled many places and love meeting people from around the world. Also living here is one sweet, friendly and curious tabby cat who will certainly make you her own!
I am a Toronto native and I enjoy hosting visitors to the city. I look forward to meeting you!
Please wear indoor footwear only. Please remove outdoor footwear when you enter the apartment.
Lorna is wonderful to deal with, and her cat Zora is adorable and very friendly. The location is also really convenient, near the streetcar and any stores/restaurants you need.
Lorna was a warm and gracious host. She was responsive to my messages both before and during my stay. Zoro the kitty is a pleasantly goofy addition to the apartment and Parkdale is a very charming neighborhood.
Everything was absolutely wonderful. Lorna and her cat Zora were very welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here :)
I stayed at Lorna's house for one month. I really enjoyed my stay.
The house is beautiful, I had a big and bright room, it was perfect.
The house is close to streetcars and a few minutes away by streetcar to the subway station, so it was very convenient to visit the city.
Lorna is a very lovely women and she has a really cute cat !
I would really recommend this place. Don't hesitate to come stay here !
Lorna is a very friendly host! She gave me a lot of advice, and she's always ready to answer to your questions. The room is large and clean, and is situated in a quite and beautifull neighbourhood. It was a nice and funny stay.
Lorna's place was great, she was very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!
My host was very gracious and friendly. The room was tidy and spacious and I'm sure that if I stayed longer I would have heard more about her past and future travels. She does have a cat so if you have allergies that could be a problem. Although the room was tidy the balance of her second floor apartment was very cluttered. This was a much better value than staying in a cheap hotel. I do recommend getting a street parking permit.
Hi everybody! I am a friendly progressive woman and a Toronto native, in my early 60s. I have travelled to many places in the world, and am always very interested to meet people from everywhere. Toronto is said to be the most culturally diverse city in the world!
I am semi-retired now, and have worked as a social worker, child care worker and ESL teacher.
My house is in a wonderful neighbourhood of downtown-west Toronto. I like to cycle, and enjoy cooking, eating at fantastic ethnic restaurants, reading, film, live jazz and most other kinds of music, art galleries and museums, walking in parks, going swimming. I love to go out and hear live jazz and I sing in a community choir. I do yoga and meditation. Some of my favourite times are when I have camped and canoed in the Ontario wilderness of forests and lakes. But, not to give the impression that I am super-active, I can often be found reading and watching DVDs and falling asleep on my living room couch!
I believe that the purpose of life is to enjoy it, care for our gorgeous earth and nature, and make a positive contribution to the world while I am in it. Issues of social justice are important to me. I try to be optimistic and down to earth and hope I am not too obsessive about anything. My home is quiet, peaceful and the look of it reflects me. It is comfortable and a little cluttered. I am not a neat freak but it is clean.
If you stay at my home, you will enjoy peace, quiet and privacy, and the company of my sweetie cat, Zora.
