The boat does not leave the dock during your stay and you do not share her with other guests. If you are interested in getting underway, I can arrange for a sailing or powerboat cruise on another boat.
I also have arrangements with other providers, so anything that you need (from provisioning to catered meals to kayak excursions to sunset sailing) can be arranged for you.
Horizon Seeker is perfect for couples, small families, and other getaways. If you have never been on a boat before, don't despair. It's easy and I will walk you through everything.
Two things to keep in mind:
1. The walk from the parking lot to the boat is about 5 minutes. It's a dock with a ramp. We have dock carts to help you bring your items to the boat. There is a small staircase with 5 steps to get onto the boat.
2. Please note that sometimes boats smell funny since you are sitting in salt water and engines and other mechanics are all contained on the boat.
Pets are allowed by special arrangement. Contact me directly for more information.
Contact me for availability and special rates.
There are three restaurants on-site, and between them you can eat and drink all day long.
You'll have the boat to yourself during your visit.
Interaction with Guests
I've set everything up so that you can easily arrive and depart; no need to meet anyone to pick up keys, etc. Happy to recommend fun things to do and yummy places to eat during your stay.
The view from the marina is incredible! You can enjoy the beauty of downtown and the harbor without having to go anywhere. It's a short walk to the on-site restaurants and bars and a short drive to hot spots like Shem Creek and Sullivan's Island. It's easy to get downtown and to/from all the major roads.
The water taxi to downtown is only a few feet away and it costs $10/roundtrip (all-day pass) per person. Parking for one vehicle at the marina during your stay is included.
We ask that you please respect our neighbors in the marina by keeping noise levels to a reasonable level and not polluting our beautiful water.
When leaving, we respectfully ask that you take your recycling and trash to the bins located at the pier head.
Horizon Seeker is a non-smoking vessel. Also, please no red wine, fireworks, or illegal substances.
The boat was an amazing place to stay! The marina and resort had a great pool and beach area. The Fish House restaurant on site was delicious and we ate there twice! The boat accommodated four of us (all adults) quite well and had a surprising about of room! The outside deck space was the favorite place to sit and play cards and enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. I would highly recommend this spot!!
Thank you Jennifer! Staying on the boat was relaxing and the marina neighbors are super friendly. We enjoyed having the kitchen for coffee in the morning and chilled champagne at night. Best part was laying out under the stars on the front deck in the evening. The yacht description is pretty accurate. Beds are comfortable. Wi-Fi is not reliable if you depend upon access. With high temperatures this time of year, the A/C on board worked well however you won't be able to air out the fuel smell that accumulates. We would stay here again when temps are more mild and can keep all the windows open. Jennifer is a responsive host.
Just as most reviews say, our stay was also amazing. The boat is even better than the listing describes and what the pictures show. Checking in and out was seamless and everything was explained in detail within the book on board if we were unsure of anything. Can't wait to go back for another stay!
What a wonderful experience!! Horizon Seeker was exactly as described. The location was extremely convenient and all instructions were clear and easy to follow! Great view of the city, ocean, and Ravenel Bridge! Our daughter loved her comfy bed and our seven month old loved watching the other boats. Conveniently located near excellent restaurants! My family enjoyed our stay tremendously!
We loved the Yacht, it was very welcoming and stocked very well. It was located in a friendly atmosphere and the nearby air craft carrier made us feel very safe. There was a community event on Friday night practically next door that was a lot of fun. Over all this was a great experience and one that I would do again.
This was my first time ever using AIRBNB, and it was the best decision I ever made! Staying on this boat was such a great experience. I have way to many positive things to say about this place!!!
I was really nervous about renting something online, but it looks exactly like it does in the picture. YOu can rent it with full confidence and I promise you will be getting what you pay for. Jennifer was always available to answer and address any questions we had. She even made sure the boat was in tip top shape after the rain.
My only advice to future renters is, if you have never stayed on a boat before, the toilet is a bit tricky, but there are instructions on how to use it, and same for the shower.
You can also literally park your car in the marina, and use public transportation. There is a free trolley with a great schedule, and a water taxi ($10).
Also the people who live on the other boats are all really friendly!
Overall, I would definitely do it again! And I highly highly recommend it. I know it can be scary to rent stuff by only seeing it online, but this is one I can highly recommend with the utmost confidence. Jennifer is amazing, and you can tell she cares a lot about the boat and about making sure you enjoy your stay!
The yacht is better than the description, it is huge with plenty of room for us to move around without bumping into each other. There was a very informative file giving us the necessary instructions for the workings of the yacht which made things very easy for us and stopped us worrying.
The marina is delightful and the use of the boat club's facilities was an added bonus. The water taxi is an experience and a great way to miss the traffic on the bridge when travelling to Downtown Charleston. I was a little shocked to see a naval ship complete with aircraft at the edge of the marina but a kind neighbour reassured me that it was out of service!
The sunsets were an absolute picture and we were lucky enough to see dolphins before we left.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

About the Host, Jennifer
A lover of all things related to water, I've been around the ocean and boats my entire life. I've lived up and down the East Coast but am thrilled to call Charleston my home.
I love Horizon Seeker and enjoy sharing her with guests. When she is not chartered I've been known to spend an evening at the marina, relaxing and watching the sun set.
I more recently opened my home to guests as my dogs and I love meeting new people! Staying with me you'll get a unique Charleston experience. From sunrise on the marsh to island life, I have to say that this is truly the best place that I have ever lived.
