Wow Wow! This is a magnificent New England Berkshire home. Merle and Karen make you feel instantly at home and before long you are like family. We didn't want to leave and expect to come back often. The breakfast was great. I hope all my future Air BnB experiences are of similar quality.

Merle and Karen were excellent hosts - gracious, respectful, and a pleasure to be around. I could not have been more satisfied. The House is gorgeous, clean, and Merle and Karen go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. I recommend this stay highly! Oh, and by the way, there is free breakfast!

I can't say enough good things about staying with Merle and his lovely wife Karen. Their house is absolutely teeming with old world charm, the grounds are lovely with incredible trees, the location is just gorgeous. And Merle and Karen are the loveliest people. They made my girlfriend and I feel remarkably at home. We are already talking about going back with some of our friends for another visit. Highly recommended.

Buttonwood was absolutely wonderful in every way! Karen and Merle opened their hearts and their home to us. Beautiful home and yard, delicious breakfast, and great conversation. One of the best b and b experiences I've ever had. We'll be back!

This was our first Airbnb experience, and it was fantastic! Staying with Merle and Karen was just as comfortable and enjoyable as many Bed and Breakfasts that we have stayed at and paid twice the price for. Their property is idyllic, and I wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the quiet and the beautiful backyard garden and screened-in porch. Merle and Karen seemed like they could not have been more thrilled to meet us and welcome us into their home. We truly felt like their home was our home. And Merle was so quick and responsive -- we booked just a day in advance and had several questions along the way. I would recommend Buttonwood to anyone!

Merle & Karen User ProfileMerle & Karen is a superhost.

My wife Karen and I have 3 three children and 9 grandchildren. We love New England architecture and a good project. Buttonwood is our fourth colonial restoration. Places we like: Paris, New York, Boston, Nantucket and Savannah. Things she likes: the kids, working on the flower beds, reading, knitting, house projects. Things I like: classic european cars, sailing, house projects, the kids and seeing Ms. Karen's happy face. A nice warm fire with good conversation, a little Jim Beam, a glass of Pinot Grigio for the lady. It just does not get any better !
