“There are needs in this world for which your specific talents are ideally suited, and when the world's needs are matched with the creative expression of your talents, your purpose-your dharma-is realized". ~Deepak Chopra HISTORY.. In 1996, at the age of 25, Kara purchased her first property, a historic, multi-family home near Downtown Kalamazoo. Not knowing or even imagining what would come of it, Kara set out on an adventure. The home needed lots of love. Although she had no prior experience in this area, she took the role of steward very seriously and set out to do her best. Time spent pouring over the home quickly led to a new found passion for painting, restoration and even interior design. Through this, Kara was able to renovate and restore her first home while also building a business to extend the same service to others. 15 years later in 2011, her now thoughtfully renovated, historic beauty shows its appreciation and Kara's Kottages was born. "Every action generates a force of energy that returns to you in kind" ~Deepak Chopra
