Our 3 bedroom Medina house with fab views from the roof terrace. Two bedrooms, one double, one twin are available for guests & when I'm not there the third bedroom, a double, will also be available. There will be someone to welcome you.
Our 3 bedroom Medina house with fab views from the roof terrace. Create delicious tagines & couscous in the fully equipped kitchen. We enjoy our food. Atlantic Coast beach is a 25 min walk away.
Guests are welcome to use the roof terrace, the utility room, kitchen and salon.
Interaction with Guests
I enjoy company so will spend time with guests...I'd love to show you around. There will probably be times when I have to go sort something or other out.
I love the people. I love nodding to and giving a wave to the weavers, the carpenters, the shop keepers. I love sitting in the cafe, people watching. I love shopping in the souk. I love walking along the beach. I love getting the bus to El Jadida and watching the football (soccer) games being played on the beach there. Oh! I mustn't forget the weather! It's good, even in winter, though it has to rain sometime for the Moroccan farmers to grow their wonderful fruit and veg.
It's easy enough to get to Azemmour by train from Casablanca Mohammed V Airport. Petit taxis are a cheap way (in fact the only way!) of getting from Azemmour Halte, the train station, to the Medina main gate. A regular bus service operates between Azemmour and El Jadida. It is possible to park outside the Medina.
Other Things to Note
I don't know exactly when I'll be there again, but I will be! It would be possible to rent the entire house or just a room in the house when I am not there as we have a good man who speaks excellent English looking after the house. He's great, a good guy.
You may smoke on the roof terrace but not in the house.
Sorry, no pets.
I want you to relax and have a pleasant visit. Sing out loud if you want to...I do! What the world needs now is a bit of common decency and that is what we should expect from everyone we meet.
The house is beautiful, very well decorated Morocco style. Very spacious with a nice terrace on top. Located inside the medina gives it a special ambience.
Joanne's friend who received us is very friendly and helpful giving us very welcome local knowledge and tips.
I loved to stay there and will definitively stay there again if I come back to Azemmour.
We had a wonderful time in Joanne beautiful house. She was in London at this time so we didn't meet her in person but she was always present by text messages and let us feel very secure and welcome. Her friend who is looking after her house is a very professional and helpful person so you will not have any problem in Azemmour. We really strongly recommend to visit this place which we find extremely interesting and beautiful.
Joanne replied us fast, answered all unexpected questions and helped with understanding what stay in Medina house means. Price is incredible low! We arrived late without notifying Hassan, Joane's friend who showed us house, so we couldn't have dinner in the riad, but Hassan suggested us very good local fish restaurant, where we got our meal.
We were 4 grown ups and 3 kids in the beggining, but during our trip in Marocco, two more friends joined our travelling, and house was big enough for all of us. Thanks to Hassan and Joanna for this experience - house is newly refurbished, master bedroom and bathroom, and like many rooms there - like a eastern princesses, with ornaments on the walls and ceiling, kitchen fully equipped, living space big and airy. Azemmour itself - very colorful local town.
Everything was fine! We enjoyed our stay at Joanne's house! There is a lot of space and the roof terrace is amazing. Joanne always responded asap and cared a lot about us! I would book it again :)
