The space
DreamView is conveniently located just minutes off the I-5 corridor, yet feels a world away from everyday life. Set on a private ridgetop road in a peaceful, elevated setting, the home offers unobstructed views of Shasta Lake and the surrounding mountains. With no neighboring homes, no traffic, and no city noise, it’s an ideal retreat for couples seeking a romantic, quiet escape—and for those who want the freedom to work remotely without distraction. With private walking access and forest roads leading toward the lake, along with more than 30,000 acres of surrounding national forest, nature—and privacy—begin the moment you arrive.

The home features an open-concept kitchen with new stainless-steel appliances, flowing seamlessly into the living and dining areas—perfect for unhurried meals, sunset dinners, and lingering conversations. Just off the kitchen, the breakfast nook overlooks the lake through floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a beautiful setting for romantic sunset dinners, morning coffee, or a peaceful remote-work setup. Expansive windows throughout the home frame breathtaking lake views, filling the space with natural light and a constant connection to the outdoors.

**DreamView also offers exceptional high-speed Wi-Fi—among the best in the area—**making it an excellent choice for remote work, extended stays, or creatives who want dependable connectivity by day and complete tranquility by night. For guests staying longer or seeking added ease, optional concierge-style services can be arranged upon request, including mid-stay refresh service, fresh linens and towels, light housekeeping, and light grocery shopping or pre-arrival stocking. Each level of the house includes a bedroom and full bathroom, offering comfort and flexibility while maintaining a sense of retreat. The home features both a bathtub and a walk-in shower, and every bedroom enjoys lake views and direct deck access, making mornings peaceful and evenings especially memorable.

Please note: the downstairs sleeping arrangement is partially open. The staircase leads into a room with two beds, which also provides access to the lower deck and the third bedroom. The downstairs bathroom is accessed through this shared space. This layout is best suited for couples, families, or close friends who are comfortable sharing common areas.

DreamView is intentionally designed as a quiet, private retreat for registered guests only. It is not suitable for parties, events, or gatherings, and outside visitors are not permitted.

Marina Access

DreamView offers convenient access to three marinas within approximately five miles, a rare advantage on Shasta Lake—especially for guests seeking both easy lake access and complete privacy.

Due to the property’s elevated ridgetop setting and surrounding mountain roads, guests with boats typically find it most enjoyable to reserve a marina slip rather than trailer a boat in and out daily. This allows for relaxed lake days without the challenge of frequent trailering.

Nearby marinas include Holiday Harbor, Bridge Bay, and Shasta Marina. Availability varies by season, so we recommend calling ahead to secure a slip.

This arrangement lets guests enjoy full days on the lake while returning each evening to the quiet, seclusion, and comfort of DreamView.

For the safety of our guests and the property, exterior security cameras monitor the driveway and main entry points only. Cameras operate continuously and do not monitor interior spaces or private guest areas.

The property is accessed via a private ridgetop road, and some driveways, paths, and walking areas are unpaved. Please drive slowly and carefully, especially at night or during wet weather.

Born on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, Kenneth Howard Tellstrom experienced his first water skiing experience on Lake Michigan in the summer time at the tender age of 5 years old. He always remembers that time in the freezing and rough, choppy water. His parents bought a cottage in Indiana when Ken was 7 years old. His father bought a family ski boat where he started on Bass Lake, Indiana. Every weekend his father would take him out on the lake and have Ken practice until there was nothing left in him. Ken always excelled in sports. Wrestling and diving came natural to him leading him to win City and State Championships in both sports. At the age of 18, Ken packed his bags and made a drastic move to Southern California where he had a wrestling scholarship. He was quickly derailed by Huntington Beach where he started surfing which quickly led him to making it a career. After 7 years of surfing on the shores of California and Hawaii, Ken was missing his roots of being on the lake. He had heard about Shasta Lake, CA being the best lake in the entire Western States. He quickly packed his bags and made the move up to Redding, CA. When he started back, ‘Scurfing’, which is what Wakeboarding was called at the time, was THE sport of that time. With Ken’s background in diving in 1 meter, 3 meter and platform, his air awareness and 7 years of prior Surfing made him a natural. Falling in love with the sport, Ken started a Wakeboarding school called Extreme Wakeboarding in 1988 and he enjoyed 11 years of teaching families and kids on Shasta Lake. Ken ended his 11 years of Wakeboarding and schooling on top of the world. Bringing home World and National Champion Titles in his division in 1999. Ken feels extremely blessed to be living on his playground, Shasta Lake, currently running his vacation rental business and being a self employed contractor. He still teaches Wakeboarding upon special request as he will always love the sport and the ability to share his knowledge with others.
