Enjoy our guest room with excellent queen bed, lovely en suite bath and guest closet. About 45 minutes from SJO airport, we offer homemade biscotti or breads and Greek yogurt as well as tropical fruit with breakfast. Dine indoors or on covered patio.
Within the coffee plantation/finca you can walk stream-side pathways through exotic flora and fauna. Often we see 'Jesus' lizards scurrying to water and walking on the surface. Our birding is wonderful. Even near the house we enjoy motmots, rainbow (Keel billed) toucans, oropéndola and squirrel cuckoos among many other birds and wildlife.

Guests are welcome to use the main parlor and the covered patio. Coffee, teas and baked items are available 24/7 at the kitchen.

Steve and Margaret were such warm and welcoming hosts! We couldn't have asked for a better experience in Costa Rica. Their farm is a bit off the beaten path which made it a very relaxing retreat. They offered to pick us up closer to town to help us find their place. Their home is absolutely charming with a nice walking path along the river and beautiful backyard patio area perfect for relaxing. They are 10 minutes for a local waterfall Los Churros, an hour from aroma estate and 90 minutes from La Paz Waterfall Garden. You get a great view of Poas Volcano from their property. All of this is reason enough to stay here but it's thier hospitality that you really shouldn't miss. Margaret made us a delicious home cooked breakfast every morning. For a small fee she will make you dinner too if you are simply too tired to go out for dinner as we were. Steve took us on a walking tour through their property showing us all the local plants, the banana grove and River banks are beautiful. Both were willing to play concierge at a moments notice, please providing local recommendations you don't see in the guidebooks. Our experience with Steve and Margaret was above and beyond what you expect from any air bnb experience. We are so thankful they opened they home up to us. This was by far one of the highlights of our trip.
No olvidaremos nunca nuestra estancia. Recomendación altísima.
Thank you for your generous review and more especially for your warmth to us and gracious etiquette during your brief stay. We look forward to seeing you both again.
Gracias por tu opinión generosa y más especialmente por su calidez y etiqueta amable con nosotros. Esperamos verlos en el futuro.
My wife Margaret and I love sharing Costa Rica with guests. for several years we've have grown and harvested coffee, we are currently focusing more on reforesting. We appreciate reservation requests with at least a one-week notice. This allows us sufficient flexibility in our schedule. In the meantime we are busy planting exotic trees and shrubs, encouraging armadillos, iguanas, toucans and a wide variety of other birds and wildlife. guests are often rewarded with visits by many of these exotic creatures. It's fun for us to participate in guest travel adventures and to hear your impressions and stories.
