High ceilings with intricate plaster detail in a home that sits right in front of the trolley stop. You will love sitting on the amazing porch and just people watch, waving to passengers on the streetcar. A great experience to be right there on the Avenue under the 250 year old oak trees.

You can take our self guided walking tour through the Garden District and see one home after another built in 1800's, with names of architect (if known), year built and who lived there.

The space
You are right on St. Charles Avenue--not "3 blocks from St. Charles" because 3 blocks makes a difference in the feeling you get when you walk out the front door to meet your Uber or just to take a walk under the trees or ride the streetcar uptown to Audubon Park, Zoo, University area or downtown to the French Quarter. We are in the center of activity with restaurants within walking distance like Commander's Palace or coffee shops and Magazine St. is 5 blocks away.

The large front porch has adequate seating for several guests, the entrance hallway is available for sitting and reading

There is a washer and dryer laundry room in the rear of the property. The large hallway is a great place to lounge and do some reading if its too hot or humid on the porch.

Other things to note
The thermostat for this apartment is in the hallway, if you want to regulate the air or heat.

Neighborhood highlights

This area is known as the Garden District and is known for its lush gardens and 19th Century mansions. I have created a self guided walking tour as well as a list of all the restaurants and info on each one. The area is patrolled by the Garden District Police who drive through the neighborhoods and are available for emergencies or just to escort you from streetcar late at night if you are concerned. Sometimes it's just better to uber it home if it is late.
