Charming House, with all Modern Appliances, in Centre of Historical "Old-Town" Haarlem. Complete with WiFi, Projector Screen & Private Garden. Accommodates up to 4 people.

Located in the centre of old town Haarlem and within walking distance to everything this lovely city has to offer, is this quaint 150-200 year-old townhouse that is fully-equipped with modern conveniences to allow you to appreciate it's old-style charm in comfort.
The entire house is available to you when you select this property and it can accommodate up to 4 people. (Please ensure that you book for the correct amount of guests for the booking as we have additional charges after 2 guests).
Downstairs is an open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen area, which have French doors that open out onto a relaxing garden courtyard, complete with BBQ. In the lounge, there is an electrical fireplace which adds a charming ambiance to the room. We have also provided a projector screen with surround sound and laptop so that you can easily play movies or music.
Upstairs, there is a modern bathroom, european laundry and a spacious light-filled bedroom with an adjacent sitting area which can be curtained off and converted into a second bedroom (with a comfortable double sofabed).
You can also make use of all the amenities provided, including central heating, fully-equipped modern kitchen, dishwasher, microwave/oven, coffee machine, WiFi, stereo systems, alarm clock, projector screen and laptop, washing machine, dryer and BBQ! We also provide all towels and linen.
***Please be aware if booking with children or elderly people, that we have very steep traditional dutch stairs that may prove a mobility issue. Please see the photographs as a reference before booking. However we have had many senior guests and children that haven't found this to be an issue and embrace them as part of the charm of living like the dutch. :)***
Interaction with Guests
We are travelers ourselves and we know how difficult communication can be in a foreign country and that transport delays can occur. For this reason, we have a locked keybox check-in system that will allow you to arrive at a time that suits you (within our advised times), without needing to stay in contact with your arrival time.
We are readily available to answer any questions you may have and have included a neighbourhood guide of reommendations in the local area both in the house and on our Airbnb profile.

Haarlem is a beautiful cobble-stoned city, 15 minutes by train from the centre of Amsterdam (with trains leaving every 10-15 minutes) and with a direct connection to Schiphol airport. The popular beach village of Zandvoort is also only 15 minutes by train from the city centre and Haarlem is very central for day trips throughout the Netherlands with excellent road and train systems and extensive bicycle routes.
Haarlem is the provincial capital of North Holland, located on the banks of the Spaarne river and is a relaxed city, full of picturesque canals, a maze of narrow medieval streets, hidden gardens, quality restaurants and many of the best dutch museums. The city is also a historical beer brewing centre has a lively culture and active nightlife.
A one minute walk from the house will lead you to ‘Kleine Houtstraat’, a pretty boutique shopping street voted to be the best in The Netherlands many times.
Haarlem is perfect for a romantic getaway as well as partygoers and makes an excellent base for visitors to Amsterdam and other surrounding areas, as well as being a great destination in itself, with everything you could want at your doorstep.
Buses and trains are just a short walk from the house. The neighbourhood is quiet and Haarlem is a safe city to walk at night time. Bicycles are also available to hire within the city, however the house is very central and accessible to the city by foot.
Paid parking is available in the carpark directly next door. Free parking is also available within a quick 5 minute walk.
The train station is located on the other side of the city centre and is a 10-15 minute walk or quick bus ride.
Other Things to Note
Please ensure you book for any extra guests, as we have additional charges for more than 2 guests. We have additional costs and cleaning times and taxes, so we appreciate your honesty and fairness.
Sorry, we cannot accept any four-legged family members (pets).

First and foremost, we hope you enjoy your stay. You should find some complimentary beer, juice and traditional dutch sweets waiting for you on arrival. Please also help yourself to anything else you find in the fridge and cupboards, as well as leave behind anything you can't take with you to minimise waste.
Also, we would greatly appreciate it if you could adhere to the following:
1. Please wash and put away your dishes before you leave.
2. If you move the furniture please return it to it's original position before your departure.
3. We encourage you to be environmentally conscious and try to minimise your energy usage. Please turn off lights and turn down the heater (around 10degrees) when you leave the property and go to bed. Also, please use the quick cycle programs for the washing machine and dishwasher, where possible.
4. Please refrain from smoking inside, the backyard is accessible and partially covered for those who wish to smoke.
5. We understand accidents can happen. If something breaks during your stay, please let us know so we can repair it for future guests. Also, if you spill something, we would appreciate you doing your utmost to clean it so that it does not stain.
