I was welcomed by a gracious smiling host. His gregarious personality added to the pleasure of sharing his home. Jerry knows Detroit well and can answer most questions. The location of the condo is excellent if you've reason to be in the Medical Centers, Cultural Centers (DIA is a must) or on the Wayne State Campus. Parking was safe and available every day His home is large, colorful and well appointed. The upstairs bedroom provided is spacious, clean and very comfortable. Great mattress and pillows!! The large bathroom and closet are more than adequate. Fresh linens, toiletries and coat hangers were furnished. The kitchen is large, easily shared and stocked well. Jerry makes a great pot of coffee every morning. He went out of his way several times to help me solve problems and I am very appreciative of his
thoughtfulness. I will certainly recommend his home to others if it is available. My first experience with AirBnB was a total success. Thank you.
I had a great time staying with Jerry and Gigi. Jerry is a great host and he took time to make sure I was comfortable and he even took me for a little tour of the neighboring parts of Detroit. His place is pretty close to Downtown also which makes it easy to find things to do and places to eat. Thanks Jerry!
we stayed 2 nights in this apartment, Jerry was more than great man ,helpful, so nice , he came to the Amtrak to take us to his apartment which was very clean and quite ,we were very happy with him ,and we felt that we are in our home, and we enjoyed our time with Jigi, his dog which was pretty, ( especialy my son was too happy with Jigi ).I strongly recommend to every one to stay there ..........A lot of thnks to Jerry .
Jerry is a terrific host - I arrived feeling like a visitor to Detroit, and left knowing I have a new friend in the Motor City! His energy and enthusiasm let you know you'll be well cared for while staying at the carriage house, (And Gigi is one sweet pup, too). Jerry's knowledge of the area's history and it's current resurgence is a great resource as you stay in this convenient central location of Detroit. (There's a great sense of the past grandeur as you look out the windows onto the early 20th century mansions -- fascinating and beautiful).
And don't miss the sunny mornings in the kitchen - a welcoming amount of countertops/appliances are there if you should care to cook. Private bath is a great perk, too - plenty of towels and strong water pressure.

There is a time in one's life that is often a turning point-but only if you realize it. I have experienced this turning point. It is awesome. As a result, I am grateful for everything I have been blessed with--thanks be to God!
I'm Canadian and grew up just outside of Niagara Falls, Ontario in Welland, known for the Welland Canal which links Lake Erie and Lake Ontario for ship travel bypassing the Falls.
I moved to Michigan as a result of an early automotive career path after college and have lived in the "D" for nearly 20 years.
I'm a believer in the City of Detroit. I like the vibe of the city, the numerous attractions from the world class DIA (Detroit Institute of Arts), to the amazing architecture and history, to the great ethnic enclaves such as Greektown, Mexican Village and the Polish flavor of Hamtramck, to the exciting sports teams (Red Wings, Tigers and even Lions nowadays.)
My outlook on life is full of ambition, idealism and integrity. I'm an adjunct faculty member at Wayne State University and love to teach as well as thrive upon the people and energy on campus.
I also provide institutional fixed income vehicles for portfolios of credit unions, banks, money managers, cities & municipalities and other large asset based groups looking to improve yield yet mitigate risk.
I enjoy eating all types of ethnic, organic and health food and so does my little mini-daschund/chihuahua girl Gigi.
My main hobbies include animals/pets (fostering and rescuing over 25 dogs over the past few years), dinner parties, Ukrainian culture and my favorite sports are playing basketball, squash, golf, as well as spinning and working out/gym. Though, you don't have to twist my arm to go to any live sporting event...
(***By the way, I speak Ukrainian---the languages tab did not provide this choice, so I picked Russian, which has similarities.)
I love and adore my family and am proud of my roots. I'm a revert back to Catholicism and am a faithful and devout parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. By the way, the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament where Archbishop Allan Vigneron resides is only one block away.
The neighborhood I reside in is known as the Historic Boston-Edison District with many well known famous former residents such as Henry Ford (the Ford Motor Company founder--his first mansion is just down the street), Berry Gordy, (founder of Motown Records), Clara Clemens, daughter of Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain), etc.
I look forward to providing you with a comfortable and enjoyable stay while you're in Motown.
