- Hertel and Delaware Avenues offer the best shopping areas in the city. Many choices for great restaurants, fast food options, one of the best bakeries in the area is just a block away. Hertel Ave. hosts local specialty shops and a variety of ethnic restaurants. Chain stores and restaurants in the area include Tim Horton coffee, Dunkin Donuts, Dennys, Kohl's, Marshalls, KMart and more.
A deck in the back overlooks a relaxing garden area with rabbits, birds and more. I love to sit in the back and relax waiting for the occasional train to pass by. It feels like being in a model railroad display when the train goes by. Make a pose and wave to the engineer. It is quiet with large trees and plenty of greenery and sky. Feels like country living in the city.
It is private and a great place to enjoy the gas grill in the summer.
NO smoking in the house.
This is a smoke free and drug free house.
Cleaning service during your stay may be arranged for an additional fee.
Once again we very much enjoyed our stay in Buffalo at Dorothy's Colvin Meadows apartment. And Dorothy, thank you so much for the flowers!!!
Dorothy was wonderful, she was there when we arrived. The house was as described and just perfect for our needs. The neighborhood was fine, close to everything. We were grateful for the washer and dryer after a muddy Frisbee game in Delaware Park.
Another year, another great stay. I always know what to expect and Dorothy is a great host. This was my 4th visit and I'll be back next year as well.
Thank you for allowing me to stay and for turning on the heat!!! I enjoyed myself once again. See you some time later in the spring.
I stayed at Dorothy's home for three nights and would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a clean and affordable spot in Buffalo. She was very attentive and we especially enjoyed being able to sit out on the back patio. There was coffee available in the kitchen - a nice touch. And all the linens and towels were very clean. The bed was very comfortable too. Unless you're a very light sleeper, you're likely to enjoy the train that passes by somewhat regularly. It gave the house with its trained-themed decorations character. Downtown Buffalo was a 15 minute drive and Elmwood Village was even closer.
Dorothy made my son, daughter-in-law and myself feel very much at home and welcome. We were in the process of moving from an apartment to the kids' new house. Unfortunately, the house was not ready and we had no place to go. Dorothy came to the rescue. The accommodations met all of our expectations and Dorothy was easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.
Dorothy was awesome. The place was perfect. Dorothy was such an amazing host and a huge help with the town. Thank you so much

I love my curly hair, my grandchildren, camping, birds, wildlife and gardening. My favorite thing about hosting on airbnb is meeting people from all over the world. It is so nice to see my guests enjoy their stay at the apartment enjoy the back deck and yard. I smile the most when I give a tour of the area or a shopping trip at the local Wegman's grocery store.
Spring is here and the snow is gone. In May the boating season will start when the ice clears from Lake Erie. Flowers and gardens will bloom for the great Garden walks throughout 5 weeks this summer.
