Come stay in my cozy home! I have a fully furnished first floor bedroom with free off street parking in my single family smoke and pet free home. Located 10 minutes from downtown, Oakland and the Southside and very close to the 279 and 376 highways. I’ve owned this home since 2008 and it was renovated when I purchased it so everything looks like new and is clean. The street and neighborhood are quiet and off the main drag so you get the convenience of location without the city noise.
This bedroom is 10 x 10 feet (3 x 3 meters) with overhead lighting and plenty of natural light. There is a large desk, plenty of drawers and shelves and a rack to hang things on the back of the door, however, no closet in the room. There are plenty of extra outlets to plug in all your gadgets. The bedroom door can be locked from the inside.
Please note that I rent two bedrooms in my home and that common areas (kitchen, living room, bathroom) would be shared with others if both rooms have guests staying. I expect that you will treat my home as your own, be tiddy and respectful towards other guests staying in my home as I expect of them to act towards you :)

Maggie's house was very well-kept and felt like home. The room itself was immaculate with a comfortable bed. The kitchen has all the utensils you need for any cooking needs; it helped me greatly with my week-long stay. Maggie responds very quickly to texts and emails and is a very friendly host. It was definitely an enjoyable stay!
Great place! I was here for my cousins wedding and I took a 30 minute bus ride or a $10 taxi to downtown area a few times. Maggie was a great host, even though she was out of town on business, and provided good directions and the room was very comfortable. She was always very easy to reach if I had any questions or concerns.
I absolutely loved staying in Maggie's home. It was so comfortable, so clean, and stocked with all sorts of thoughtful things (extra toiletries) to take care of every need I had. It was quiet and I felt safe. Major bonus: back porch and beautiful back yard.
The house was slightly farther outside of town than I understood, which ultimately wasn't an issue at all - Maggie leaves thorough directions on taking the bus into town, and I just drove to central areas and parked my car to explore. But make no mistake: this is not a location from which you could really walk anywhere interesting.
Unfortunately I didn't get to meet Maggie herself, but the other traveler was delightful - and I think that reflects well on Maggie too! I would stay here again without hesitation.
Even though I didn't get to meet Maggie, she was very helpful and welcoming. She always made sure things were okay and checked in if I needed anything via text. The house is very comfortable and I couldn't have asked for more. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in Pittsburgh :-)
Although Maggie is not around, her friend Bobbie helped me a lot. The room is cozy and quiet. Bathroom and kitchen are super clean. This place deserve more than you paid for.
Although Maggie wasn't around during the time we used the house, she was extremely thorough and communicated all details in advance to make sure our stay was comfortable. She also made sure to check in during our stay to make sure things were running smoothly - very easy to get in contact through text. The place was clean, had enough toiletries to stock a pharmacy and the bed was sufficient for a decent sleep. I would definitely come back here on my next visit to Pittsburgh!
Maggie's home was our first experience w/ Airbnb and since the beginning it has been such a pleasant experience. As a host Maggie was nice, communicative and beyond helpful. She was easy to contact and down-to-earth. We were unable to meet her during our stay since she was not there however through our experience we made a friend w/ the person staying in the other room....so thank you Maggie for making that possible!
Her home is very cozy and warm! It has a beautiful back porch area which was peaceful to sit and enjoy the weather. We were lucky to have a car while we stayed there and everything was pretty close to get to. Great place to stay...wouldn't hestiant to stay there again! Thank you again Maggie!!!!
Maggie's place was absolutely fantastic! I decided to head to Pittsburgh a couple days early before a wedding and utilized airbnb for the first time to find a place close to downtown in order to sightsee. My first experience couldn't have gone better. Maggie was very prompt in responding to me and I had no problems during my stay. She really knows how to provide a great place for guests. The Internet was fast and reliable, the place was very clean, and she even provided up-to-date magazines and guides about events and attractions in Pittsburgh for out-of-towners. I can only hope my future expereiences with airbnb can be as enjoyable as this one.
Maggie's place was excellent! Her place is set up perfectly for guests to feel at home but also that they aren't disturbing anyone else. While we didn't use all of the amenities available to us in her home since we spent very little time in it other than to sleep, it was comforting to know we were welcome to help ourselves. I would note that the neighborhood is the most challenging place to navigate (on par with Venice) with winding one way streets that do not really have room for passing traffic when they are two-way, but that describes many areas of Pittsburgh. Maggie herself was very communicative and an excellent host even without being present and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Maggie's place is great, and really well setup for AirBnB.
Maggie herself is a great communicator and host. I had no troubles when staying at the place.
One thing that is worth noting is that you'll probably want a car when staying here; public transport was quite unreliable we found (though, apparently that's a Pittsburgh thing).
