TQ for renting your apartment to us. We totally enjoyed our week long stay there. It is very well located next to the Lamarck Station, convenience stores and restaurants. We especially appreciate the well, detailed
written information you provided us and your quick response to our queries.
Super cosy appartment nearby du Sacre Coeur. Very nice and quiet neighborhood with plenty nice restaurants around. I felt at home immediately! The appartment was big enough for the two of us and it had everything we needed. The only negative thing i can think about is that the shower space was very (very!) small.
I would definitely recommand this appartment to other people. Just be prepared with the small shower space, the nice ambience will compensade it easely! Thank you for staying Christine, you made our stay in Paris wonderfull!
Although we never met, Christine was so available with communication throughout our stay- so very helpful! She had amazing suggestions too on where to go, etc (and what to eat- the cheese she suggests at the cheese shop was AMAZing).
The location was utterly perfect for us: it felt like where the true young, creative Parisians live. Steps from the metro, a ton of awesome cafes and restaurants within a block, and you are on the edge of Montmartre.
The apartment was nice, the only thing perhaps to mention is the shower is small, but the location and the bed being so comfy, we really didn't care!
We stayed for a week in Christine's flat. It is in an extremely handy position. It is literally 2 minutes walk from the Metro and this Metro Station is one of the very few in Paris that has a lift - a gift when you have heavy suitcases! It is very light and airy. There is a great bistro across the side street, where you can sit outside and have a drink or a meal. It can get a bit noisy (from the bistro) at night on the flat. Closing the windows shuts out the noise but we were there during very hot weather so had to leave them open. However, we still slept very well after loads of walking every day! (The bed is very comfortable.) There are lots of great food shops in short walking distance and Christine provided us with lots of tips and things to do which we followed and enjoyed. She also has a collection of guide books in the flat for guests to use.
The shower is TINY!! (The smallest I have ever seen.) The toilet is in the hallway but for the guests use only and not off a thoroughfare - we never saw anyone when we went and used it. Christine has all her things in the flat including shampoo, etc in the shower and toothpaste/toothbrush on the hand basin so, apart from limiting the already small space, we had the slight feeling we were encroaching somebody else's space rather than having the flat to ourselves. However, if these things don't worry you, it's definitely worth the money as it was cheaper than any other flat we have stayed in in Paris.
Christine's flat is a lovely and affordable place to stay in Paris. Everything was very clean and tidy, the couch and bed are comfy, and it was very convenient to have a little washer (no dryer but there is a drying rack) and some nice kitchen space. Her building has a big door that can only be opened by code and the flat has some really solid locks so you can feel extra safe.
The neighborhood surrounding her place is safe, lively, beautiful and there are plenty of places to eat / shop. Plus there are a few grocery stores close by and a metro station just a few steps away.
Our only issues with Christine's place were that people in the streets tended to be a little noisy at night, there is a pretty steep staircase leading to her floor which was a little difficult with baggage, the shower is very small, and opening the door is a little tricky at first but easy once you figure it out (just pull it towards you as you turn the key).
The more my girlfriend and I explored Montmartre, the more we loved it. Paris can be a pretty chaotic city and we were so grateful to come back to such a charming, peaceful neighborhood and cozy flat at the end of the day.
We had the pleasure of meeting Christine on our first day there. She was super friendly and helped us out with maps, directions, and brought us a supply of toilet paper :) She was also very quick to respond to my messages in the weeks leading up to our stay.
