Ana's house is very conviniently located and is a pleasant place to stay.
We loved the huge terrace overlooking the fjord of Kotor.
Communication with the owner was however not optimal during our stay. Ana's morher and brother communicated in quite a direct manner wich was unfortunately not the most pleasant way of communicating with your guests I would say.
But for the location we would certainly come back.
We stayed for couple of nights in the house and everything was as described and displayed on the pictures.
We were welcomed by Ana's mother who was very kind and despite of her limited English we had no issues to understand each other.
The house is with lovely location right next to the water with beautiful view. Large terrace with everything needed.
Kotor is around 2 km away and we have decided to use the car, but you can also walk to it.
The house is spacious and comfortable.
The only things I missed were the WiFi password and more information and recommendations on places to go, to see and to eat at.
I would recommend the place to my anyone looking to visit Kotor and the area.
Thank you for having us in Kotor! The place is in a beautiful location on the bay with incredible views. It's large - was just two of us but can easily accommodate a large family across the multiple rooms. Has a big terrace where you can spend time overlooking the water. There's also a small personal dock where you can swim in the bay. It took us about ~25 min to walk into old town. There are restaurants along the way. There's a big kitchen but old pots/pans so if you're staying there for more than a couple days and planning on cooking may want to bring your own things. Place isn't luxurious inside but it's certainly comfortable and great value for cost. Didn't meet Ana or her father who were referenced in other's posts, but communicated easily with Ana over email and her family who lives right next door let us right in. Overall, would recommend to you too!
The Terrace apartment was exactly as advertised. Its seaside location and proximity (~2km) from Old Town Kotor are great. Ana and her father are fantastic hosts and I would recommend this property to others without hesitation.
The description was very accurate and we didn’t have any unexpected surprises. The kitchen was very good equipped and the rooms were spacious. The road which is front of the house is quiet and safe. The house was nice and tidy with two terraces. One of them is really big with beautiful view at the sea. The access to the sea was safe with some chairs nearby.
The owner was very welcome and helpful. The neighborhood was pleasant with easy distance to shops and Kotor.
I would fully recommend this accommodation. There aren’t many places I would like to come back but this is one of them I would like to go again. :-)
My family and I recently spent 11 days at the Terrace apartment and absolutely loved it. We were greeted by Vyecko, Ana's dad who was extremely friendly and welcoming. The villa itself is very comfortable (AC works well), roomy (nice having 2 levels), clean and well equipped to cook meals either in the kitchen or using the outside bbq. We especially enjoyed spending time on the enormous terrace watching boats sail through the BEAUTIFUL, emerald coloured Bay of Kotor, surrounded by mountains. We also really enjoyed swimming off of the 2 private patios right in front of the apartment. The water is clean and deep and it was great having outside showers to rinse off the salt water.
Conveniently located as there is a little grocery shop 2 doors down and a little marina to get good coffees. It is a picturesque 20 min walk into the Old City of Kotor, which is packed with restaurants, bars, cafes and culture, history galore!!!
It was an absolute pleasure to meet and spend time with the hosts, Ana, Vyeko and the family as they were so friendly and accommodating, and provided a wealth of information about the area and it's history. They also provided information regarding excellent day trips (Porto Montenegro, Budva, Sveti Stefan and the 8 hour boat trip around the surrounding bays from Tivat).
Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful place to spend our family vacation!! We would definitely return to Terrace villa and stay longer!
We had so much fun in Montenegro and staying in Dobrota is definitely the place to be if you like swimming and amazing views. It's a hearty walk into Kotor town, but visually stimulating the whole way. The grocery two doors down had everything we needed for basics and the daily farmers' market in town had everything else. We never met Ana, but the Captain, her father, was a delightful host and a wealth of information on the area and the history. We wanted to stay on past our reservation and he helped us find a place in no time!
