About This Listing
A true Brooklyn gem! This cozy studio apartment has an exposed brick wall, beautiful mantle and two huge windows that bring in lots of light. Apartment + kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Two blocks from the subway for easy travel.
This studio apartment is quintissential Brooklyn. Located on the second floor a classic brownstone building, the apartment is cozy and comfortable, well decorated, and feels like home. Exposed brick wall and beautiful mantle are classic features of this type of apartment. Three big windows (two in the main room and one in the kitchen) let in tons of sunlight. The apartment does not face the street, so you can't hear any traffic noise. I have AC that keeps the apartment cool during the hot summer months in NYC.
Perfect little apartment for an individual looking for a quiet trip and taste of New York life, or a romantic Brooklyn getaway for two!
Full access to my apartment. My kitchen is stocked with pots, pans and dishes. My bathroom is stocked with towels, soap, shampoo/conditioner and a hair dryer. There is an iron and ironing board for your use, and you are welcome to read any of the books or magazines on my shelves.
Off limits: Please do not go through dresser, closet or desk drawers, as there may be personal belongings in there.
Laundromat is conveniently located at the end of my block.
Interaction with Guests
If I am in the city, I will meet you at the apartment, show you the space and help you get settled. Otherwise, the apartment is all yours!
Bed Stuy is an amazing place to be. Still undiscovered by Manhattanites and never touristy, it is inhabited by young professionals, art students, and families who have been in the neighborhood for years.
In the morning, walk one block west for coffee at Bedford Hill, or 4 blocks north for coffee and a kolache at Brooklyn Kolache Co. It's a beautiful walk (or run!) to Fort Greene park, where families play with children and dogs, and couples and Pratt students have picnics and lay in the sun. Like to cook? A variety of grocery stores are located a few blocks in any direction, as well as a liquor store and wine shop. Try Black Swan in the evening for dinner or a drink two blocks away, or walk a little further into Clinton Hill for wood fired pizza at Speedy Romeo's.
The G train is located 2 blocks away, and it's a quick 20-30 minute trip into Manhattan by connecting to the L train at Metropolitan or A/C at Hoyt-Schermerhorn.
For those who have already explored Manhattan, the G train is the perfect train to explore Brooklyn. 5 minutes on the train heading north gets you to the heart of Williamsburg, and Greenpoint. 5 minutes south brings you to neighborhoods like downtown Brooklyn, Boerum Hill, and Park Slope.
Other Things to Note
I run a website for experiences in NYC, and as part of my job I'm familiar with tons of the best places to eat and drink in the city, and things to do. I will provide you with plenty of information on the neighborhood and recommendations for some of my favorite places from Brooklyn to Manhattan!
Please be very clean, and respectful of my apartment and the neighbors who live in this building.

We had a great stay at Micah's apartment. It's clean, exactly as pictured and full of character thanks to a great collection of books and art. Micah was very welcoming and on hand when we needed any information. We mainly used Micah's place to go and explore wider Brooklyn, Williamsburg and lower Manhattan and for this it was ideally located. The immediate neighbourhood also has some good places for breakfast - we can recommend stonefruit, scratch bread and the daily grind. In short this is a perfect spot to set up base for a few days of exploring NYC!
The apartment was exactly as described and pictured. Micah was so gracious and helpful, leaving lots of recommendations for places to go. The perfect location, so close to public transport, made exploring easy. Lots of street parking was perfect to leave our car for the weekend and not worry about moving it or finding spaces.
This was my first Airbnb experience and it was great. Micah is very warm and friendly. She treated us like we were family staying at her home. The apartment is just like the pictures. Actually, I would say even better. The bed is sooooo comfortable and everything is super clean. She told us about a few places in the area, one in particular was the black swan. We headed over and it was a cool bar with a great happy hour special. The area has a lot of hidden gems to look for. We also went to a donut shop a few blocks away called dough. It was the best donut I have ever eaten. The train is a block and a half away. We got to Times Square in about 35 minutes. Micah made Check in and check out very easy. She was a pleasure to deal with. I will definitely recommend this home to anyone. The area is beautiful and safe. I myself will definitely stay here again when I return to Brooklyn. Thanks Micah
