A double room in a serene apartment for rent in a historic building dating from the medieval period. On the doorstep you will find the Picasso museum, independent boutiques, art galleries, artists workshops, and this is the Borne area known for plenty of trendy bars and restaurants.
Every morning you will be served a delicious breakfast and when the weather permits this can be enjoyed on the private roofterrace, which you are also welcome to use throughout your stay, very well suited for a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing.
Several metro stations and bus stops are nearby, howewer most of the sights are within walking distance; the cathedral, Santa Maria del Mar, the beaches and Las Ramblas can be reached in less than 10 minutes.
El Vaixell de paper (The Paper Boat) - representing something so fragile yet so strong!
It is not about listing and endless set of rules, basically my philosophy about the house is letting my guests using their common sense, being respectful, treating others as you like being treated and on top of that making the people staying here comfortable and helping them to make the most of their stay with me. My priority is always the comfort and wellbeing of my guests and I will go out of my way to achieve that goal.
You will be given a set of keys after the check in process, giving you complete freedom to go in and out at your will.
The flat was really fashionable and stylish. He welcomed us very nicely and explained us about the city of Barcelona. The amenities were well prepared especially breakfast. I really recommend to people who would like to stay in historical place in Barcelona and people who want to stay great sense of flat.
Xavier is a very nice host. We take a taxi to his place and the instruction he gave was clear enough to find the place, Xavier 's friend introduce us to the apartment. the location is great! It's just next door to Picaso Museum and in a very center of the Gotic. 5mins walk to the bus station and the subway. 10mins walk to the Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya. A little bit street noise at night, it's totally fine for me, just in case any light sleeper. The apartment is very well-equipped and clean, also has a good taste of decoration. Xavier helped me to talk to the Spain agent for my airport shuttle bus booking problem, and is very friendly through out all our stay.
Located in old part of Barcelona adjacent to Picasso Museum so very easy to find.
Xavier is the perfect host and he has tastefully restored this medieval apartment.
A relaxed environment with a wide range of breakfast foods on a serve yourself basis. Fridge space for extras. Comfortable bedroom and shared lounge. The access to this third floor apartment is by the original winding staircase, not a problem for us, but we didn't have big suitcases!
Pros: Most of things; flat in the core of the Born neighborhood, right in the city center, perfect location. Xavier welcomed me, he is very nice and he shows himself very helpful and open. My room was big and the apartment is very clean.
Cons: Living right in the center can be sometimes noisy and quite smelly, walls are very thin, in my case I could listen very well two other annoying noisy guests. I also had some cereals that were expired a few months ago, but I'm sure this was not Xavier's fault, as he seems very caring.
I would recommend this place.
We just came back from a great stay over here! It's a very lovely appartment in a great neighbourhood (El Born), with a lot of nice tapas restaurants, boho cafes and small boutiques. It's very easy to get around here by foot, buss or metro. I would definitely recommend this place to everybody!
Nice room in very stylish appartment. Location is superb: Born area with lots of little streets, boutiques and restaurants. Next to Picasso Museum. You can hear the people in the other room talk, but if you don't mind that it is a great place to stay with a hospitable host.
Xavier was a fantastic host - we were coming fairly early in the morning and we had baggage, so he let us come to his apartment at 10am to drop our bags off (and our room was ready then too, so we were able to get settled in). The hot water wasn't working for one of the days we were there, so he let us use the shower in the flat he owns upstairs which he's renovating. His place is beautiful and the bedroom was large and very comfortable. Incredibly fast wifi as well, which was a positive for us! There are quite a few stairs up to his apartment, but they're not too narrow and are manageable. Fantastic location also - literally one door down from the Picasso Museum. Great part of Barcelona to be in. Would definitely recommend!
