Newly finished custom built in July 2018. A secluded private driveway allows you to pull right up to the door and park within feet. Upscale 700 sq ft private detached open floor plan apartment.
It's a one bedroom with a walk-in closet & and a super comfortable queen bed. One full bathroom with shower/tub combo. Thick comfy fold out Full Futon is in the Spacious living room that flows with the open dining area into the kitchen that is fully furnished & equipped with utensils, cookware, silverware, cups, pots & pans.
Includes washcloths, dry off towels (please don't take them to the beach) body soap, shampoo, hair dryer, iron w/little iron board, luggage stands, portable dinner trays, kitchen table, baby/infant highchair, baby bath, baby gate & a couple brand new Vtech toys. There are extra - (sheets, blankets, pillows, pillow cases, towels & and washing clothes).
The walk-in laundry and pantry are off to the side of the kitchen out of the way. We provide the laundry detergent and fabric softener. The linen closet has the extras & the portable dinner trays.
EVERYTHING inside is modern & was bought brand new and installed, equipped & decorated in July 2018. It has everything you need, just like home. All you need to bring is a beach towel/chair, your clothes, toothbrush & paste.
The beaches are less than 5 miles away, Downtown being less than 10 miles away, and the great Shem Creek that boasts all top notch restaurants, dining on the creek is only a walk away.
There is an outside shower to rinse off yourself and beach supplies.
We wash all of our white towels & sheets with bleach in HOT water so you can be assured that everything is super clean! Please DO NOT use white towels to remove makeup. We provide make-up removal wipes. Please bring your own beach towels!

Private detached upscale apartment with private enclosed stairwell is located inside & out of the elements. Finished construction in July of '18. The apartment has dedicated private drive up parking within feet from the entry door. The key is accessible by a coded lockbox.
The apartment is not wheelchair accessible & has separate access from our main house.

Other things to note
There is a very conveniently dedicated drive up parking, which is within feet of the entry door. So luggage drop off & parking is right at the front door.
If towing a boat with you, that's great, just let us know so we can have parking available.

Neighborhood highlights

'The Old Village' is the most sought-after well-known historical area of all Mt. Pleasant. The streets are shadded with Big Live Oaks. Houses built in the 17 & and 1800s that once served as hospitals during the Civil War. Just a few blocks down at the end of Pitt Street is the Charleston Harbor and the famous burnt down bridge, which is now a big long pier open to pedestrians and bikers. It's a safe and quiet little area where everyone looks out for one another and is always friendly to our guests passing through. We have 2 bikes available that you can ride to the beach, Shem Creek, and the numerous restaurants/bars.

I am in my early 40s born and raised Mt. Pleasant citizen. My family did move from the old village about 25 miles north of Mt. Pleasant to a little town called Awendaw when I was 10 yrs old. Back then, that was really the countryside. My father and mother bought a house with a little land & built a farm. We had horses, a pig, chickens, peacocks, cats, dogs, and rabbits. We moved back to Mt. Pleasant when I was 16 yrs old. l missed being in the creeks, mud & marshes. For fun, my wife, son, and myself like being in our boat, fishing, crabing, cruising the creeks or out in the woods exploring. I work on the waterfront for a local Tugboat Company, so I am pretty much always in my element. My grandmother is well known as she has taught a lot of the people who have grown up here & went to school in the Mt. Pleasant area. My wife Paige and I got married in '06 (we have known each other since 6 th grade) have one boy who just turned 15 in '22. So here I am, back where it all started but with a family of my own.
