Interaction with Guests
We plan to let you have the place to yourselves.
Our neighborhood is close to Notre Dame's campus, but feels secluded because of the wide streets and old trees. Our house is particularly quiet. It sits on a corner lot off the street and faces south for nice sunshine through the living room windows. You also get great morning light into the dining area!
Forget paying game day parking: You can easily walk to the ND stadium from our place on game days. Eddy Street Commons--great restaurants and shops!--is a longish walk or short drive. Get all your groceries at Martin's up the way (about a mile). Gas for the grill is a walk to the gas station just north of the neighborhood. And the best frozen yogurt in South Bend? Also just a couple blocks away!
No smoking please: We have a baby. No pets, thanks! Please remove shoes before walking on back bedrooms' carpet: It is our kiddo's main crawling space. Thanks!
We had a wonderful time in South Bend for graduation. The house was perfect for our group of 11. Anthony and Cara were gracious hosts leaving clear directions on where to find anything we needed for our guests. The house was conveniently located just a couple blocks from campus. We would defiantly recommend the house for a large family.
A great home with plenty of room for a group traveling to a game. Many beds and the amenities were exactly what is needed for a weekend trip. I expect to use them again in 2021 when my team revisits.
The hosts were great from the very beginning. They contacted us to let us know some things about the house, sent us a detailed "things about the house" type of list, and were very friendly. As the trip got closer they let us know how to access the property, gave us their contact info, and reconfirmed we were still on. Once we arrived, we found the house in excellent shape, very perfect for our needs. They left us clean, folded towel sets on each bed, fresh soaps, shampoos/conditioners, they set out plates/cups to use and marked a cabinet for us to store food and cleared space in the refrigerator. It was a great weekend, we had a wonderful time at the house. We played board games, grilled, and cooked; all so much better with a big group then going out. It was very close (easy walking distance) to Notre Dame's campus/stadium. We would absolutely stay there again, and have already recommended it to a relative for his future trips.
Thank you for your kind review. I am sorry about not having cable television set up for your stay. This was our first year renting and we don't usually watch too much television. The major networks (ABC, NBC, CBS) allow guests to watch the Notre Dame game on our TV, but I understand the desire to watch other games on ESPN, so we will be getting cable set up for renters next year. Thanks for the feedback!
