My home is located in an older, tree-lined, 'sidewalk' neighborhood that is very safe and quiet.
My house is less than a mile from downtown Traverse City, West End Beach, the Open Space, Clinch Park Marina, East Bay, and Cherry Capital Airport. Right around the corner within walking distance there is the neighborhood bakery, 2 bike shops (McClain Cycle and Brick Wheels), diner, grocery store, wine shop, gourmet pizza place, and a brew pub. Having lived in TC for 30 years, I would be happy to recommend local restaurants, fishing charters, wineries, golf courses and other entertainment during your stay.
The accommodations include a private room, comfy queen-sized bed, nice linens, cable TV, and wireless internet. Shared bath. Cozy space, but nice and clean. I will gladly provide breakfast or other special requests depending upon the guests' wishes/schedule. Weekday check-in times must be between 12:30 and 1:00, or after 5:30. Weekend check-ins are very flexible.
Having Airbnb guests stay in my home has given me a chance to meet some very interesting people who would not have otherwise crossed my path. I look forward to hosting many, many more!
I really enjoyed the weekend I spent with Gail. She isa very accommodating and kind person. I would definitely stay with her again and encourage others to do the same. She went above and beyond what I was expecting.
Gail was easygoing, fun to talk with, and considerate. She shared her lunch with me (Ann) when I arrived and even texted me later to find out what kind of wine I liked to drink. It felt more like staying with a girlfriend than with a host. Both the bed and the house in general were comfortable places. Diva the Pom is very cool -- friendly but not intrusive.
For me my visit to Traverse City was going down memory lane. Its been more years than I care to recall since I was there last. So staying at Gail's Cute (and it is very cute) home in the heart of TC was extra nice for me. I used to live near there. I only spent one night in town so having a host who knows and loves Traverse
City was great. Gail's recommendations for a late night dinner at a brew pub and what to see the next day was spot on. Gail's home is neat as a pin. As a bonus her little dog was a lot of fun and very sweet. This was a big plus for me. All in all a great visit and I would enjoy staying again. But next time for longer to see more of the the town and country side.
Gail was wonderful, she was extremely friendly and helpful. It was like staying with family. I would definitely stay with her again on my next visit to Traverse City.
Gail is the most incredible host. The home is beautiful...diva the dog is gorgeous and loved me. LOL I wish I could have stayed longer. She was totally helpful with 'things to do and see" around Traverse City. If you are passing through TC...make sure Gail's is the place you book. Oh..and also...she made me a mean, delicious breakfast.
Thanks , Gail.
Gail is a warm gracious host. Thanks for all the advice!
I travelled to Traverse City for a three day conference and was greeted by Gail when I arrived at her very nice home. Gail was very accommodating with many nice amenities. She gave me lots of suggestions on where to go and what to see in the community. I especially like the organic market- Oriana not too far from her house.
Her back yard was so nice and peaceful - like a little oasis in the city. I would recommend anyone to stay with Gail's.
Gail was a fun, gracious host. She welcomed us with local wine, cheese and berries and we had a blast getting to know her! She made our time in Traverse City very comfortable. She did a great job of "feeling us out" on what we like to do, and then made wonderful suggestions for restaurants, activities, etc. You can tell she really enjoys hosting and that made it very comfortable to share her home. My boyfriend and I agreed it was like going to visit our big sister! Thanks for a great time, Gail!
Gail is incredibly attentive and sweet. She gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area, and received us Friday night with wine and cheese! Definitely recommend staying with her!
Gail is truly a great host and provides the best hospitality and made Vera and myself feel at home as soon as we arriived! We have been to Traverse City many times and would definitely stay at Gail's little gem again. Vera's first words were after we left that we must come back again. As soon as we left the driveway to return home, Vera was already missing Gail's little Miss Diva! (her Pomeranian).
Gail was so helpful in planning our time in Traverse City and gave excellent suggestions as to where to eat. Gail even offered to make us breakfast on Sunday morning...so nice of her. Her home is located just a couple of minutes from downtown and is about 5 blocks from the water. The guest room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We want to thank you Gail for everything and we look forward to visiting again!
