We had a great time in Helen's place. It's well-appointed and comfortable, and in an area that's perfectly placed for exploration of a fascinating part of France.

We loved our stay in this apartment in Limoux and would highly recommend it. We came for a month long break with our toddler and it was a perfect place for resting and getting some sunshine (in Oct / Nov). We had a very friendly welcome from Julie and the apartment was exactly as expected, with lovely homely touches. (We actually stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment, not the studio). It was clean, well equipped and comfortable, with easy access to a lovely courtyard at the back (sunny in the afternoons). It was peaceful at night (and dark with the shutters) which was a nice change from the city. Communication with Helen was easy and she always replied very quickly and was very helpful, even providing a highchair for our baby. The neighbourhood is fairly quiet, and the apartment is conveniently located. It's a 15 min walk to the station (to get to Carcassonne), a 5 min walk to the main square, weekly market and wine store, a 5 min walk to the playground (on an island) and a 10 min walk to a larger supermarket (Super U). There's also a lovely fruit and veg shop on the same street for veg and basic groceries. Everyone we met was very friendly. We felt at home here and would definitely recommend it.

We were sorry that Helen was away as we had such a wonderful time and would like to have thanked her personally. Julie who lives upstairs was really helpful in her absence. The little flat has plenty of room, is in a great position and parking did indeed materialise outside whenever we seemed to need it. Limoux is a great base to visit Carcassonne, Canal du Midi, Cathar castles, or just relax.

Helen was flexible and had a helpfull homemade guidebook at the appartment. We unnforuniatøy did not get to meet here, but enjoyed our stay. I would recomanded this place to enyone.

I love French food and architecture, I like to cook and enjoy the local wines. I love the sun, though I don't mind the rain and the odd powerful thunderstorm.
Walking in this area is excellent for your health and well being, Cycling is also safe and enjoyable. The local pool is open in the summer and is a great find. There are lovely beaches to enjoy and many activities in the area that I enjoy.
I love reading and you will find a wide range of real books in my house, as well as a fair DVD collection.
I like to socialise and I am interested in the history of the area and its inhabitants.
I am interested in interior design and old furniture and this is reflected in my house.
