Nicholas is very friendly, thoughtful and replied all the questions very soon. House is near to supermarkets, subway and restaurants, which is very convenient. The home is cute and warm and we really love it. For the reference for the future guests, there are two things should be mentioned. One thing is that the sewer doesn't work that well, including the upstairs bathtub and the downstairs toilet. The other thing is the window in one of the bigger bedroom can't be locked which I myself think is not safe enough.

We loved the central location to everything at Nicholas's home, the Bedford subway stop (L train) gets you right into the city. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance and the house is perfect for a family. Nicholas was extremely accommodating letting our family check in a little earlier to drop our bags off and that was appreciated. My teenagers loved the juke box and all the music.

Nicholas's was a nice, comfortable, and interesting place to spend a few days. The location was great. Next time in Williamsburg, we'd love to stay there again.

Very charming, like walking into 1970'es, old and used by a family during many years, but lots of atmosphere. Perfect location. Super nice host. It has what you need and a lovely small garden. Perfect for a family of 5.

Great place, quirky but really comfortable and homely. This was a great base for four of us (1 brit, 3 French) whilst we stayed in New York. The location was perfect. Williamsburg itself is great and there are lots of bars and restaurants to visit within walking distance of the house. The tube is 5 minutes away and getting into Manhattan is simple. We also really enjoyed staying away from the busy parts of Manhattan, but still with loads going on around. I couldn't recommend the area enough, and we felt really safe walking around anywhere. I recommend using the jukebox which is brilliant! Nicholas was a great host. The house instructions were spot on and he was kind enough to let us leave our bags after check out on the last day, which was really helpful. If you're deliberating whether to book this place, just do it. Hopefully we'll be back!

Nicholas User ProfileNicholas is a superhost.

Our family of five spent 10 great years in this house, We moved some distance away a couple years ago.
I come in for film & radio production work occasionally and stay in the basement and/or back house.
Our neighbors down the street take care of the house.
The home has a lot of our life in it still, and our kids were born there.
It's a keeper.
