If you don't feel like going far from the apartment, you can enjoy the many bars, restaurants, pizzerias and winebars of the neighbourhood. It is in the heart of the Ancient Rome and still more real Roman than touristic. Also safe and calm because there is hardly any traffic but nevertheless it is one of the rare areas of the historical centre where you can arrive by car.
The metro B to "Colosseo" is the easiest way to move. Also different busses pass. Nearest stop in Via Claudia.
Please throuw the garbage in the gray bins in front of the main door.
Please pay attention to gather the hair from brushes and combs to garbage bag or to flush it down from toilet.
Please pay attention to switch off the cooking plates to avoid fire.
Save energy switching off the lights and the air conditioning when you're out.
We really loved Jaana's place.Small but so tidy , so clean. And location of home is really great.Recommended...
Even if I wrote Jaana one day before our arrival again, she forgot our appointment and we had to wait almost one hour in front of the house. The appartment itself is really small, but well equipped and has everything you need. Unfortunately, Jaanas explanations were very basic, so she did not mention where the pot and the pan were. We had to search for it 30 min. Apart from that, the room was clean and the location is perfect for exploring the city. There is a supermarket nearby and you can park your car in front of the house on a public parking.
For the first time ever I forgot the arrival of the guests and was late. I excused for more than once and Valerie seemed to be fine with it. Now I'm really sorry that she decided to expose it publicly. I have often waited for the guests even two hours but never wrote it in the reviews because I understand that sometimes unfortunately being late happens.
I'm also sorry that it took Valerie 30 min. to find the pan.
Great place near the Colosseum! It's nice to get up early and walk around the monuments before the hustle and bustle of the other tourists getting off the metro. The surrounding area was alright. It is a few blocks near a lively street at night and lots of restaurants throughout the day and night near the colosseum. Furthermore, it is easy to get to the metro and buses from there as well.
The room itself was cozy and efficient. The photos were accurate and don't expect anything bigger than what you see. It comes with necessities though like towels, pots, dishes, wifi and an adapter converter. It was very clean and bed was big! Very nice to sleep in after a long day of walking. Jaana was very accommodating and was easy to communicate with. Thank you so much Jaana!
I had a very pleasant stay in Jaana's studio. It is very functional and very well planned. The place has all the amenities one reasonably needs. It is perfect for one person, a bit tight for two, but can be managed. Jaana was always available and responded instantly on any enquiry during my two week stay in Rome. The location is perfect, app. 7 min. to Metro/tram/supermarket/Colosseum. Would definitely stay there again!
The apartment is clean, small and very comfortable. Location is perfect. Although we never met with Jaana, she was always available by email and she was very helpful. Thank you Jaana!

About the Host, Jaana
I live in Rome and just adore it. I would like everyone to see the marvels of Rome and Italy therefore I also organize travel programs in Italy besides of working as a conference interpreter. In my free time I like running 3-4 times a week and to read a bit of everything but prefer non-fiction or other books that have a base of reality. Sci-fi is not for me. In addition, history is among my interests (the location of the house is not random). I try to practice foreign languages with some consistency.
