About This Listing
I consider myself lucky to live in such a beautiful city as Lyon!
One of my favourite passtime is chilling out with friends at a café terrace where we can appreciate a nice glass of wine.
The flat/apartment is in a 16th century Renaissance building with a traboule, a word typically of Lyon. This word derived of the Latin " trans-ambulare " means literally " getting through "hence the verb trabouler and the name which ensues from it-a "traboule", a passage for the pedestrians, often narrow, beginning with a corridor of entrance and crossing one or several buildings (and/or one or several yards) to connect a street to another one.
Your bedroom contains a double bed of 140x190 (55 in × 75 in). If two people think of feeling at ease there, I can welcome them with no problem at all.
Interaction with Guests
I am happy to share lots of tips and recommendations.
Maps and guides of the city are provided.
Lyon's old quarter has been designated a World Heritage Site.
Lyon also has a vibrant cultural calendar.
Some events hosted by the city, such as the spectacular Fête des Lumières (December) to the Nuits Sonores electronic music festival (May), rival – and locals would contend outshine – anything France’s capital can offer.
There are many bars and restaurants.
The nearest underground station is Métro Vieux Lyon-Cathédrale St Jean. I'll meet you outside the station beside the tourist info point to take you to the flat which is about 3 minutes walk.

Location? This spot has it, right in the heart of Vieux Lyon, and just a very few minutes' walk from the train station. Gracious, thoughtful host? Maybe even better than the location. Fari is everything you could hope for. She communicated promptly throughout the process, she was there to meet us outside the station and walk us to her apartment (Located in not just any traboule, but the longest of the city!), she now offers a delicious continental breakfast, her apartment is equipped with a very comfortable bed, her decor is extremely tasteful, her towels were the best of our month-long trip, etc, etc, etc.
Lyon is a great choice, Fari's place is in a pefect spot, and if we ever return to her wonderful city, we will certainly stay with her again.
Fari is an experienced host who keeps in good communication, and goes the extra step in making you feel welcome and comfortable.
She made parking easy for us when town was crowded with tourists. The room she offers is nicely put together, visually and physically. The bed is beautiful and comfortable. The shared bathroom is spotlessly clean and easily accessible. Fari prepared a delicious breakfast in the morning with fresh expresso coffee, croissant, yogurt, fruit, and the most wonderful warm, crusty baguette I have tasted. Lyon was just an overnighter for my wife and I, but Fari made us feel like "old friends". We'd love to go back there , and spend more time.
Outstanding location in Old Lyon, nicely appointed apartment, comfortable bed, lovely breakfast, and pleasant, knowledgeable, cultured, and charming hostess. Easy access to metro and to a wide selection of Lyon. Recommended.
Fari is an amazing host!!! This was one of the best airbnb's I've stayed at. She really went the extra mile to make sure I had everything I needed. She even prepared breakfast for me! Would recommend the room to anyone.
About the Host, Fari
