About this listing
I consider myself lucky to live in such a beautiful city as Lyon!
One of my favourite passtime is chilling out with friends at a café terrace where we can appreciate a nice glass of wine.
The flat/apartment is in a 16th century Renaissance building with a traboule, a word typically of Lyon. This word derived of the Latin " trans-ambulare " means literally " getting through "hence the verb trabouler and the name which ensues from it-a "traboule", a passage for the pedestrians, often narrow, beginning with a corridor of entrance and crossing one or several buildings (and/or one or several yards) to connect a street to another one.
Your bedroom contains a double bed of 140x190 (55 in × 75 in). If two people think of feeling at ease there, I can welcome them with no problem at all.
Interaction with Guests
I am happy to share lots of tips and recommendations.
Maps and guides of the city are provided.
Lyon's old quarter has been designated a World Heritage Site.
Lyon also has a vibrant cultural calendar.
Some events hosted by the city, such as the spectacular Fête des Lumières (December) to the Nuits Sonores electronic music festival (May), rival – and locals would contend outshine – anything France’s capital can offer.
There are many bars and restaurants.
The nearest underground station is Métro Vieux Lyon-Cathédrale St Jean. I'll meet you outside the station beside the tourist info point to take you to the flat which is about 3 minutes walk.

Fari was a superlative host from the moment we arrived in Lyon. She met us at our pre-arranged meeting point and showed us to her parking space; it was a major bonus to have somewhere so central to park for the duration of our brief visit. We were welcomed into Fari's spotless and fascinating apartment with a cold beer and indoor slippers! It was a privilege to stay in a lovely home with such a friendly host. This was our first Airbnb experience; if all are up to this standard then we'll never look back. Thanks Fari!
The location can't be better! Fari is so kind ,welcoming and warmhearted. She prepared delicious breakfast for us every morning. We love her homemade cake!! The apartment is amazing and beautiful. The restaurant Fari recommended to us is perfect too! Everything is just perfect! Thank you, Fari!
We felt welcome right away because of Fari's kind nature. We arrived in Lyon worn out from long flights from Australia, but she made us feel relaxed and gave us an overview of Lyon. Her place is clean and tidy and the bedroom a good size. It's also incredible being able to stay in a medieval building! We fell in love with Lyon, probably our favourite place in France now, and Fari's honest advice and down-to-earth demeanour absolutely contributed to our experience of Lyon. P.S. She has great knowledge about bouchons and how to avoid the bad ones, so make sure you get her to fill you in.
My husband and I spent two days in Fari's wonderful apartment in old Lyon. Fari was a most gracious host and very helpful with tips about what to see and where to eat. She also prepared a delicious and extravagant breakfast for us on both mornings. We felt very welcome, and the room was just as nice as it looked in the photos.
Fari met us at the train station and was so lovely! She offered us beer and a delicious home made cake when we arrived. We sat in the kitchen and she told us about Lyon and gave us restaurant and pool recommendations (it was so hot there that week!). The restaurant, Le Bouchon des Filles that Fari recommended was one of the best restaurants of my life.
The flat was so clean and nicely decorated. She provided us crisp towels, a water pitcher, and maps and tour guides. In the morning she set up a lovely breakfast with fresh bread, pastries, yogurt, fruit, coffee, and orange juice. It was like staying in a hotel, only better because you're staying with a friend. When I go back to Lyon (and I plan to) I want to stay with Fari!
About the Host, Fari
