House rules
This place isn’t suitable for children under 12 and the host doesn’t allow pets, parties, or smoking.
Hidden away in the Nantmor Valley just a few miles from the foot of Mount Snowdon, you will find us nestling in our own fourteen acres of paradise.
We have a double en-suite room with it's own access to the outside world for you to explore beautiful walks straight from the door.
A sitting area and ‘camp kitchen’ in a converted horse trailer is a fun place that you may eat and perhaps cook yourselves a one pot dish. It overlooks the stunning area we are in whilst watching the sunset

The space
The room is en-suite and has a king size bed with tea and coffee making facilities.
The entrance is via a raised patio so is not, unfortunately, very disabled friendly.
We offer bed but, presently, can only offer a breakfast of prepackaged food such as yogurt, breakfast cereal bars, orange juice, milk, porridge.
We must make you aware that we have a large German Shepherd Dog. He is very friendly, in fact if he could lay upon your lap he would very much like to, but his happy buoyant nature can, understandably, be off-putting to those who are uncomfortable around large dogs. We will be happy to put him out of your way as best we can. Once you meet him you will love him.
Please also note that we usually manage to offer a good internet connection but it may a little slow. Most areas of the property you may be able to access it but we cannot guarantee it at all and if you do connect please understand that is is most likely you will only be able to send and receive emails and alike. Likewise with mobile reception. Some networks seem to work well but most don't. If you need to use a telephone we have a landline and will do all we can to help if you need the internet but one of the beauties of our home is it's isolation and tranquility.

Guest access
Although we do not have an indoor common area there is a lovely, quite private, outdoor area for sitting and enjoying the peace and quiet (our nearest neighbour is half a mile away) and a BBQ is available should you wish to cook your own evening meal or eat your breakfast outside and we supply cutlery and crockery.
You can stroll down to our river and cool off in the mountain water plunge pool, and cool off you will!
Outside, under the cover of your porch, is sentry box for wet coats and shoes (we ask that they are not taken into the room and we would be happy to dry them for you)

Other things to note
Please be aware that we have a large German Shepherd Dog. He is very friendly but boisterous and this can be a little alarming to people who are not used to large hairy hounds. We will do our best to keep him away from you should you wish us to.

We do not provide a full breakfast but a morning snack will be provided.

We will do our best but cannot guarantee internet or mobile reception.

We do not allow takeaways or hot food to be taken into the room, sorry.

At one end of the valley road is a wonderful cafe called Cafe Gwynant. It serves homemade breakfasts in a very pretty environment and is very popular with walkers and touring visitors alike but is generally open only seasonally.
Our 'local pub' (four miles) offers lunch and dinner and has a very pretty garden looking onto Mother Snowdon.
There are many other places to eat and drink in the local village of Beddgelert and the larger town of Porthmadog, which offers shops, supermarkets and restaurants, is within a few miles also.
There are so many things to see and do around this gorgeous area and some of the attractions include the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways, the amazing Zip Wire, beautiful beaches including Morfa Bychan (Black Rock, which you drive onto) and pretty little fishing villages such as Borth-y-Gest.

Hubby and I moved to this wonderful part of the world from Winchester in the South of England in 2016. We occasionally try a bit of the 'good life' and raise a couple of pigs. We have two pygmy goats who are supposed to be 'mowing' the lawn but they are fussy eaters so aren't very good at that remit, however, they are cute. Our house needs a few tweeks until it is ship shape but we have two lovely en-suite rooms that have been completed to offer our guests. We still have a lot to explore ourselves around and about as there is so much to see but we are looking forward to meeting you and offer you any help you may need.
