About This Listing
A chic and comfortable room in a designer's own home. You will love the neighborhood, one of the best in this world class city. Views, garden, kitchen supplied with all cooking essentials, and a laundry on premises. Walk to Parks, Castro and Haight.
This is a single room available in my home. I will be there during your stay. I'm an Interior designer/ Architect with a beautiful 1920's home, located on a hill between the Castro & Haight Ashbury. Beautiful garden and comfortable accommodations. Small friendly cat, Ghia, lives here too. Nice neighbors, and beautiful view neighborhood. Quiet, and close to everything San Francisco has to offer. See the Golden Gate Bridge from the park hill top just steps from front door. Plenty of street parking, and close to public transportation.
Your room, the guest bedroom, has a full size bed with standard provisions like clean towels and linens provided. We have basic essentials such as shampoo/conditioner, bath soap, toothpaste, hair dryer for your use in case you need them.
I have a few travel books for your use. I have lived here for 14 years, and have plenty of recommendations for visitors.
The house has wifi. Coin operated laundry in building.
You won't want to leave!
Full kitchen & laundry access on the premises. Free use of common rooms, including a beautiful sunny living & dining room.
Interaction with Guests
I like to great guests, and am available to give advice on the city, or just get to know each other a bit. I also give plenty of space/ privacy if that is desired.
This is a beautiful, sunny, and central neighborhood that also happens to be quiet and very desirable.
Public transport is a breeze here. There is also lots of street parking for those with cars.
No smoking in the home, smoking in garden permitted. Quiet time from 10:00pm to 7:00am. No additional guest sleep overs, without my prior consent. Free use of kitchen, fridge, stove etc, I just ask that you clean up after yourself.
It was my first Airbnb experience, and it is much more personal than staying in a hotel. The apartment has a good location near a park not far from Castro. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe with a lot of opportunities for some scenic views. But be prepared to walk:)
The apartment is very cool, and you can see that Matthew is an interior designer. Matthew is very nice and likes having guests from all over the world. I felt like a real guest in his and his cat´s place. He also gave me some tips and I had some nice conversations with him. I had also the pleasure to meet his mom from Ohio and a visiting dog.
If I come back to SF I hope I will have the opportunity to stay there again.
Matthew was an excellent host. He had everything ready for ne and it was always easy to contact him. The room is exactly as described, perfect for one person. I think most couples would feel a bit cramped, though. I loved the location, so near the Castro, the Haight and Golden Gate Park. But if you don't like walking uphill, you'll need an Uber or taxi. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a great stay at Matthews home. He is a wonderful host and helps us with everything. The room is really nice and has all you need. The bed is comfortable and there is enough space in the closet and the cabinet., and all was clean. The whole flat is tastefully. The cat is crazy, but we had a lot of fun with her ;).
To go to Matthews place, you have to climb up the hill or take the abbreviation through the park. To take the F Line,Metro or bus to the City,it takes only about a few Minutes. The second room was also rent, but Jim was also nice and we had enough space for our own.
we felt very comfortable at Matthews home, and when we will visit SF again,we will stay again with him.
The deluxe digs can be found on a lovely hill in SF separating the Haight and the Mission and has a couple nearby parks that providing picturesque views of the city. Matthew was also a welcoming host during our visit. The apartment was a bit darker and a little more crowded with furniture than the pictures provided, so it was a little tight in our room with two suitcases. Matthew had recently purchased a tv and Roku which were added to the room and provided a nice way to wind down after a day out on the town. And Matthew's deaf cat provided some great laughs throughout our stay.
We had a really nice stay at Matthews place. Close to Castro, Misson and the legendary Haight street. The apartment has an artistic unique vibe - which suits the SF picture we have;0)
A little note: Matthew was home, when we stayed at his place, which was nice and made it more like a private visit. If you like that, we strongly recommend Matthew and his apartment.
